and it's true, it is one long ass swabup both nostriles OMG :wtf

Yeah - it's seriously unpleasant. It feels like they are going to poke your eye out from behind.

I haven't had it for Covid, but they tested me last year when I thought I had flu - turned out I did. The only consolation was that, given I didn't get a flu shot, it wasn't one in their selection, so I would have got sick regardless.

You folks seem to have a low tolerance. Sheltered I guess...

Oh, I had been considering making a poll, similar to this thread, about whether you think you'd survive. The first option would be, I sprinkle coronavirus on my wheaties and piss vaccine...

This.

I am a social creature, I'm just not cut out for isolation. I get so frustrated with this I think just give it to me and get over with it.

I was telling a dude at work that I got the flu shot in the fall. Dude said he had never had a flu shot. I assumed he was an antivaxer but nope, he was afraid of the needle. He said it was too painful.
I asked wtf were they poking him with the last time he has gotten any shot.
Over the past 6 years I've probably been poked with needles 30 times and could barely detect either even when looking at them going in. If you looked away you wouldn't know what was happening.

There is a psychological impact of getting needles where some people faint but its not from pain.

I would have gone blood test over that thing up my nose. The disgusting thing is they swab one nostril and then the other WITH THE SAME FREAKING SWAB!!! that's probably what grossed me out the most.

Nah brah. Don't think that way.. protect the fam, your friends.. and society.

If the big guy gives it to you and you kick its ass you will have time to get some stuff done out in the outside world. This is not going away anytime soon.

Good juju to youyou.

Regarding testing, now it's been reported that up to 50% of negitive results are false negitives :wtf

Apparantly if someone has cycled throug the virus and not been exposed it doesn't present enough for a positive, that means, even if you test negitive, you are not safe to go about your business as you may still be carrying the virus.

Test results came back!!! :banana

Not detected but with this disclaimer

A laboratory result of “Not Detected” does not conclusively rule out disease. Clinical correlation is recommended

I don't even know what that means.

It means that the test isn't 100% accurate, so there still is a small possibility that you have it. But, you have the odds with you.

I asked if I can rejoin my household and was told No not until 14 days after symptoms are gone.
