oh, that's what's really going on?
Some shit just flies over my head.
Enjoy one another gentlemen. I hope you find true love.
Not sure what they're thinking, their cases have been trending downwards as have been their deaths, though their deaths/million have been similar and slightly higher than our for the last month.
As to the hydroxychloroquine, they could probably get it for a bargain price because the US had a huge store of it that never got used.
Not sure where the 2-4k is coming from, their leadership seems about as accurate as ours, they're losing about 350 people a day, still.
The problem with their model is that they don't have a similar scenario to a school setting and the kids. Also, since children are at lower risk those additional deaths would be secondary and tertiary exposures, for the most part, another area where their models might not have sufficient data to be reasonably accurate. The increased death with reopening schools is from an Imperial College model. Their early modelling was pretty far off but their global models are becoming accepted as pretty accurate. They were closest in New York according to Cuomo. It will be interesting to see how it goes. My wife teaches third grade and I don't have a good feeling.
Georgia new death rate has indeed had a very slow decline, though I wouldn't characterize it as 'well below' where it was. It appears that the people of Georgia have been more careful than their Governor.
We don't know what the true case numbers are ever since the Governor took over those, but hopefully the death rates are accurate.
I think that people across this nation have become more knowledgeable and the masks are a game changer above all else, just as it has been proven to be the case throughout Asia where their numbers are astonishingly low.
I’m still seeing many masks in grocery stores, etc.
a lot of places have opened such as restaurants and breweries with tables far apart, guides on floors where to stand, hand sanitizer and reminders everywhere.
I got my hair cut and wore a mask and everyone in salon was required to.
The attitude seems more relaxed.
Interested to see what happens after all these protests!
Still not sure if there will be an actual High School graduation ceremony for (her daughter) in July or not. It’s supposed to be where I work.
I got a survey from work (at a concert venue) last week asking employees if they’d go back to work in July or not with safety guidelines.
I’m sure many said no as they’re making more $ from unemployment!

Per capita, Georgia has reported the most cases per day over a seven-day average of any state, followed by Texas and Florida. The states are led by governors who pushed to reopen during the spring, saw major summer surges of cases and are currently pushing to reopen schools.
Texas has issued a mandate requiring face masks, while Florida and Georgia have not. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has gone so far as to keep cities from making stricter rules and has sued the city of Atlanta for trying to require face masks. Georgia has allowed restaurants, bars and gyms to open at limited capacity.
Georgia, Texas and Florida lead the country in coronavirus cases per capita
Imagine that. Who'd have thought that shitty leadership could lead to more deaths during a pandemic.
Note: This isn't a political thing, it's simply stupid leadership.
