The last 20 miles today should be epic.

Might be the first true "separator" stage where a rider in conteniton could lose a minute or more.

While the narrative in this link is outdated the elevation maps for each stage are very good.

https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/racing/tour-de-france/tour-de-france-route-192041

Looking at today's map I will likely fast forward through most of it until 66 km to go for the sprint and 35km to go as they start the final climb.

this came up in my youtube feed after the NBC highlights ... kind of weird blast from our (disgraced?) past:

:dunno

"who knows where Roseville is ...?" :gsxrgrl

ads stop around 6:00 (!) ... (they tell us who's from Roseville at 7:00+)

wrt our panelists, who knows, must be a hustle to have to still be paying back sponsors?

It’s actually a good podcast. Not really because of Lance. It’s mostly good because of George Hincape. George still has a bunch of friends on the tour, and he gives good insight. If you subscribe to The Move podcast on your phone, you can also get the audio-only version with Johan Bruyneel. THAT one is spectacular if you want insight.

For those of you who don’t know Johan, he was team director of 9 Tour winners.

We can argue about Lance’s disgrace another time.

Lutsenko won today wearing the championship Kazakhstan colors.

He was a beast at the finish. I don’t know if he saved his energy on the breakaway or if he was just that strong in general, but he did his country proud.

thanks for the tip on the Johan Bruyneel podcast ... :thumbup
always liked Mr Hincapie ...

agree about not needing to rehash the disgrace debate here, was just surprised to see him today ...
feels like it had been years since the last time.

+1, exciting break away and a deserving victor today ... :ride

Yesterday showed the Yellow Jersey just starting to crack but he recovered.

Today likely we will see someone new in that Jersey.

rooting to see Mr Powless have the legs to go off the front again today ... thinking as a young rider that it may be too much to hope for ...

anyway, fun to have a US rider to root for in the lead group yesterday ... :flag

today should be epic in the GC ... who will be in the overall leader’s jersey tonight ...? :dunno

Great race.

Stage 15, next Sunday, looks like the next great "separator" race.

Likely will determine the winner.

a mountain-top finish for stage 10, yay ... :party

see if #77, my favorite Roseville rider in this race, can find some legs after a day of rest ...?

Looks like his team, EF Pro Cycling from the USA, is going into the next stage at #2 in the team overall standings, five or so minutes behind Spain’s Movistar Team.

he’s sitting in 8th in the young rider White Jersey standings, dropping from 5th after having such a great ride the stage before last ... :flag

Sadly that's stage 15.

Yes, that kid is doing stunningly well.

Looks like a veteran.

I see, now, thanks ... Stage 15 on September 13th looks awesome, just before the next rest day on 9/14 ... :party

yes, so much fun to see him on TV and getting some calls from the announcers ...

this is Sepp Kuss’s first Tour de France, too ... go Buffaloes! :laughing

suppose I’m rooting for Slovenia at this point ... :ride

guess I have to go with Mr Roglic:

youtu.be/oNRYgKyZBAI

why he’s in Yellow on the Tour de France instead of still ski jumping ...
from 2007 ... he actually kept ski jumping until 2012 ... :hail
