Some good racing yesterday! :thumbup I know I keep saying it, but I don't think there was ever this much parity (right word?) in the 450 class. Even in the mid 80's, which in my biased opinion was the the heyday of MX in the US. :teeth
Wilson.... come on. I have a real hard time believing he didn't know where he was on the track, what was happening behind him, or who was behind him for a whole lap. He wasn't racing anyone in front or behind him in his race. Ferrandis one position behind him had no problem getting out of the way of the race for 1st. It wasn't one turn or two, looked to me like a flat out roadblock. Webb might still have caught Roczen again, but it would have been a push to do so. We will never know.. but it looked horrible for Wilson, apology or not. :thumbdown
Bam Bam! :thumbup Will he be a contender for the title? Perhaps not, but maybe...... Enjoying the show he is putting on looking completely reinvigorated on the Gas Gas and wearing the Troy Lee Designs kits. The TLD Gas Gas is the best looking bike out there right now.
Dmitriy just bough a brand new 2021 Gas Gas EC300 that I got to see yesterday riding at Middle Creek. I know its just red KTM with some different body work... but it looks as good in person as it does on TV. I WANT one ! I'll look younger, lighter, and surely be faster riding one in my TLD gear. :laughing
Forkner.... Mitch has got to be loosing his shit. WTF? There is bad luck, but this has become Forkners MO. Amazing talent, but consitently hitting the ground. We saw it with AC, but AC has/had more star power and marketing value. Does he get another season with Mitch?
Congrats to Colt Nichols on the win and Craig being right there in the 250s.
How about Jett Lawrence's pass on Mosiman and his comments about it on the podium? Perhaps I'm a bit of Mosiman fan as he is from the North Bay, riding for TLD and on a GAS GAS... It was definitely an aggressive pass, thats raceing. But his comment on the podium justifying the pass because "everyone knows Mosiman is hard to get around" left me with a bad taste in my mouth and seemed disrespectful. He is only a 17 yr old kid, but it sounded entitled. I'm starting to feel/sound like the TMZ of Supercross. :facepalm. Had he just left it as its racing, racing is physical etc, might have been better.
Speeking of 17 yr olds, anyone else impressed with our own NorCal Max Vohland? Another great and solid ride for the rookie. :applause
Saturday in Indy for the next round can't come soon enough. Best season of racing for some time.
