My boi Pooper got it done.
I guess Forkner hurt himself in practice. Not good for his career at Mitch's Kawasaki team.

For sure Wilson screwed the pooch allowing the poop to win it.

Watching the replay of the medical flag thing from Tuesday I see why the AMA stuck Roczen. Maybe Ken missed it on entry a bit, but it was right in front of him. Racing focus was elsewhere, but the call looked right.

Two frustrating races in a row for Roczen. That fire will remain with Ken.

A mistake from Barcia stopped his charge. He was railing.
AC on the podium was cool. He is fast. If he can stay consistent and not fall he can play with the guys at the front for sure.

I hear ya... I will give it a go.

Roczen
Bam Bam
Web
Tomac
Brayton
Osborne
Musquin
Stewart
Ferrandis
Anderson

Shot in the dark of course. :laughing

AC could disturb the force.
Wilson and Plessinger could as well.

It is a stacked field. Can't ever remember so many guys capable of a top 3 since the 80's.

8 of my top 10 picks hit the top 10. I have officially impressed myself.

Let's stop blaming Wilson for a minute.
Ken lost the lead the lap before and got it back. He KNEW that he was racing for the win on the last lap.
The fact that he decided to FOLLOW a LAPER around for 5 seconds, instead of taking a different line, was a rookie mistake.
Cooper used a BUNCH of different lines on the last lap and the last few corners, and that paid off big for him.
Ken should know better.
I guarantee he won't make THAT mistake again.

Not Wilson's fault, but still the reason that Webb reeled in Ken.
His pass across the ruts to pass Roczen was brilliant. Webb finds a way in these situations which bodes well for the rest of the season.

Some good racing yesterday! :thumbup I know I keep saying it, but I don't think there was ever this much parity (right word?) in the 450 class. Even in the mid 80's, which in my biased opinion was the the heyday of MX in the US. :teeth

Wilson.... come on. I have a real hard time believing he didn't know where he was on the track, what was happening behind him, or who was behind him for a whole lap. He wasn't racing anyone in front or behind him in his race. Ferrandis one position behind him had no problem getting out of the way of the race for 1st. It wasn't one turn or two, looked to me like a flat out roadblock. Webb might still have caught Roczen again, but it would have been a push to do so. We will never know.. but it looked horrible for Wilson, apology or not. :thumbdown

Bam Bam! :thumbup Will he be a contender for the title? Perhaps not, but maybe...... Enjoying the show he is putting on looking completely reinvigorated on the Gas Gas and wearing the Troy Lee Designs kits. The TLD Gas Gas is the best looking bike out there right now.

Dmitriy just bough a brand new 2021 Gas Gas EC300 that I got to see yesterday riding at Middle Creek. I know its just red KTM with some different body work... but it looks as good in person as it does on TV. I WANT one ! I'll look younger, lighter, and surely be faster riding one in my TLD gear. :laughing

Forkner.... Mitch has got to be loosing his shit. WTF? There is bad luck, but this has become Forkners MO. Amazing talent, but consitently hitting the ground. We saw it with AC, but AC has/had more star power and marketing value. Does he get another season with Mitch?

Congrats to Colt Nichols on the win and Craig being right there in the 250s.

How about Jett Lawrence's pass on Mosiman and his comments about it on the podium? Perhaps I'm a bit of Mosiman fan as he is from the North Bay, riding for TLD and on a GAS GAS... It was definitely an aggressive pass, thats raceing. But his comment on the podium justifying the pass because "everyone knows Mosiman is hard to get around" left me with a bad taste in my mouth and seemed disrespectful. He is only a 17 yr old kid, but it sounded entitled. I'm starting to feel/sound like the TMZ of Supercross. :facepalm. Had he just left it as its racing, racing is physical etc, might have been better.

Speeking of 17 yr olds, anyone else impressed with our own NorCal Max Vohland? Another great and solid ride for the rookie. :applause

Saturday in Indy for the next round can't come soon enough. Best season of racing for some time.

Vohland’s performance so far is a solid performance for a guy who made a pretty big leap to join the series. :thumbup

Mosiman fan boy too.

I said it before. Shitty pass. No block just straight to contact. :thumbdown

I was looking for a penalty affecting the results.

Totally agree on the talent pool in the 450 class. Astounding. :port

I really appreciate your commentary CJ.
Agree with it.
Was surprised to hear Dmitriy just bought a brand new 2021 Gas Gas EC300. Is it the "LC" version? :laughing

Here's a youtube with Rockzen's reply to Wilsons apology...

:laughing no special addition...

but it's drop dead sexy! Like Ducati 916 or Daytona 675 sexy.

I've got a lot of time and coin in both my YZ250 and TE300, there is no logical reason to buy one.. but I REALLY REALLY want one. Even knowing its just a red KTM and there is no way it's justifiably $10k better than either of my bikes, I still want it. Been some time that a any bike, let alone a dirtbike has been so desirable based on looks alone for me.

2hrs to the show and just put in my Rockymtn fantasy drunk and blindfolded pig picks....

1) Roczen.... gotta be pissed and fired up
2) Musquin
3) Bam Bam
4) Tomac
5) Osborne

and this week its 12th place for the wildcard, so I'll go with Anderson

Other than the heartbreak for Vohland in qualifying, 250s look to be shaping up for some good racing. Mosiman is looking fast, hopefully challenge for a podium tonight on the Gas Gas and make NorCal proud. Maybe even give Lawrence a little payback for the tough pass last week. :thumbup

Speaking of Lawrence, in the second qualifying session Craig was clearly a smidge faster in the whoops and got on his tail, no contact in the corner following, but Lawrence folded and went down from the pressure. Gesturing at Craig as he got up, even with zero contact. :laughing

Its definitely going to be a good race between Craig, Nichols, Lawrence and hopefully Mosiman with Shimoda just behind them.

Woot woot! :party

That was a fun 450 main!

Great RACE all the way to the end. :thumbup Shocked when Roczen lost the lead to Tomac, and then took it back. Bigs props to the speed and racecraft we got to see. Osborne coming from dead last to 5th? :wow Funny when you hear guys say the track is hard to pass on and Osborne makes a run like that. :applause Bam Bam had a tough night.

I think we need to get TMZ to be the title sponsor for the 250 class. :teeth Congrats to Colt Nichols! Great race from gate drop to finish. Mosiman and Shimoda on the podium. Impressed with Shimoda's humility in his podium interview.

Can't say I didn't find some satisfaction in seeing Craig taking Lawrence wide... WAY wide. :rofl Might have taken him to the parking lot if given a chance. I may sound like a Lawrence hater, I'm really not. He is undoubtedly going to be a multi time champion and another superstar. Huge talent, perhaps generational talent, and exciting to watch. But sometimes his mouth and actions get a little snarky and he is probably learning a little humility and fewer on track enemies might better for his championship runs. He didn't even mention Craig (a good thing) in his post race interview. Somebody is obviously coaching the young 17yr old on what he says now. :thumbup

Great day of entertainment. :party

Budman is getting psychic ! Almost nailed it. Both mains were highly entertaining. Tomac made it back from a bad start again. He needs to work on that. Good to see Ken and Pooper back on the podium.
