I think he is a superstar as far as DORNA is concerned.

He has a large precence of fans at a lot of races.
I would call him a superstar that is disliked by some.

That is true. Not yet.

Franky even though 2nd this year seems the closest to me.
He seems like such a cool cat.

Miller could escalate, so could Rins, Pol or Mir??? Big shoes to fill.
Not sure anyone will come close to doing that in the next couple of years. Pretty level playing field with him out.

Whatever that means
is marc a superstar?

hes regularly boo'd by the sports own fans, let alone full of crossover appeal to non fans.

I remember everyone cheering when he crashed at Austin. I mean they did also clapp when he got up fine but i think people just wanted to see someone else win. they wanted a race. and they were happy to get it.

I think Marc is also too corporate. He comes off as having the personality of a plastic bag.

To me, Marc has the personality of dry toast. Which makes him a perfect Honda rider. I like Jackass Miller. That bloke is fun

MM93, to me, is basically an ego with a skin wrapped around it. He's a vicious Honey Badger and nobody who tangles with him comes out unscathed. He brings no entertainment other than his enormous talent. He has no real public persona, no apparent sense of humor, certainly no ability for self deprecating humor. That's why we love Vale, Miller, and Cal. They're far more complicated and far more interesting.

I wouldn't walk across the street for an MM93 autograph if he was giving them away with ten dollar bills. I'd walk five miles for a Vale autograph, in the rain.

I wouldn't walk across the street for ... ten dollar bills.

Dude, that's 3 gallons of gas, or 3 street tacos or a 6 pack of beer....I walk across the street if I see something shiny on the sidewalk:laughing

But I don't disagree with you.

Bone graft?

Well, that just reinforces my opinion he won’t be at the tip of the spear in 2021.

Is there video from Dorna of Steve Day and Matt Birt commenting on the operation?

"A Season of Super Surgeries for multi-time champion"

"An eleven hour surgery completed in just eight hours! Who else but Marc Marquez could pull off such an astounding feat?"

"The doctor can surely rely on the grunt of that Italian bone saw to make up time on the straight cuts"

... And as Marc wakes up from the anesthetic haze, his eyes focus on the shadowy figure standing over him, as he's greeted by the words "allora we poosh poosh poosh very 'ard to make good for surgery"

No doubt GPone will have an extensive "See, I told you so" post-op interview with Costa.

this was the most avoidable disaster ever.

he never ever should have been cleared to ride jerez 2 FP, its insane they allowed it. the FIM needs to totally revamp how the medical staff works

Tomorrow's Repsol tweet will be a photo of Puig spotting MM93 doing pullups.

lol wouldnt surprise me
