Don’t know. Infectious diseases is neither my areas of studies/diplomas, work or hobby. Experts say it’s massively under reported, both infections and deaths. Right now we only have 2 known numbers to work with. As more tests are deployed, I’m sure the denominator will grow much faster than the numerator. For now it’s 5.88%, it’s painful, and it can kill in 4 weeks.

I don’t admit the low fidelity. Experts do. But ‘likely well under 1%’ is far worse, because nobody can back it up as of today. The data just isn’t there yet. I too hope it’ll ‘likely be well under 1%’ once it’s all set. We’re years from that point.

This is not a slam of Archimedes, just a possible explanation of his actions.
I know that he worked very hard to have a secure, comfortable retirement, all props to him for doing that. I know that he is very nervous that the stock market is going to drop significantly which would seriously threaten his financial situation. He doesn't want to see that happen so is falling into the trap of seeing what he wants to see that would portend a less terrible (financially) future.
Let's face it, there are many agenda's out there and if you are looking for something that will support a country pathway that you wish, you can find it.

Doubt it, dude seems pretty bright and rational and anyone paying attention knows that the stock market is now completely divorced from the real economy and reality.
Bottom line is you and most others here have been completely wrong about this whole thing...like the people in the main thread that said Japan was gonna be slammed...( any day now lol ).
Take a deep breath and be happy, this has not been as bad as predicted and we know who it mainly kills. 99% of us are gonna be just fine.
Also, please refrain from starting more threads about impending disasters until you go back to your old ones and admit you got it wrong.
