Corona Virus are you ready?

Not that we'll ever know, but I wonder what percentage of people have/had the virus, never went to the hospital, and are just fine?

I've had a few of those, just kill me now, illnesses over the years and didn't go to the ER or anything. They suck, but getting sick sucks.

I have thinking along similar lines. A lot of people around me had some very virulent colds already this very late December and January up to present. I keep wondering if it was already here, and undiagnosed.

If you are healthy to begin with, you don't die, you just have a terrible cold, I guess.

Well, I have rice, beans, water, lots of protein bars, dog food, canned tuna ( good to have), some canned goods, need to get baby wipes, have masks.

After Armageddon

Watch it. It's a really good realistic (IMO) docudrama about what might be coming very soon. I sure hope it doesn't go this way. But, if it did get that bad, this show is kind of a best case scenario. It's pretty scary.

Out in the sticks here in Oz, not much concern. Main question is when to buy back into the market.

I don't understand the whole stocking up on food. Why can't I just have Safeway deliver my groceries, doordash, etc.... or family or friend drop off groceries.

If I'm miserable sick I'm not eating beans and tuna for two weeks :x

Mortality rates are almost exclusively people with severely compromised immune systems.

Wash your hands properly, sneeze into your elbow, and don't, for fuck's sake DO NOT contribute to the panic.

One other forum I visit has a great panic emoticon, typical smiley running in a circle with arms waving in the air.

It's based on the notion that, at a certain point, we will voluntarily or involuntarily be quarantined at home and will need to be stocked up. I get that.

I get it but it does seem nuts, especially the toilet paper part. You know Trump will come and throw tp at us from the podium at some point.

Lordy, if I can't make fun of Agent Orange throwing paper towels at Puerto Ricans without being "warned." That was pure comedy gold.

Sigh. Not glad some love to be monitors up my ass all the time.

Me? I'm being nice by not quoting you and giving you a heads up so you don't rack up p-traps and get sent on break and I did it in a lighthearted manner. But if that's being "up your ass", then I'm just as content watching you rack up pee-pee smacking and doing nothing to help you.

Please re-read the post, I didn't say that at all.

And, it wasn't really a political comment. In a company, the big bosses make decisions all the time that fuck the worker bees without ever giving a fuck.

Sorry, that is political simply through the insinuation.

...all of you. Leave it alone.

Moving on....

Been washing my hands a lot, like I always do. Not touching my face. I'm not too worried about it. My lungs are crap anyway. If I come within 1/4 mile of this, I'm a goner. I got pneumonia at 27. A chest cold has me on my inhaler for 6 months. I'm going to hole up in the garage and when I pass, I'll make sure my husband burns the place to the ground.

Good to have a plan. Maybe he'll sell me some ashes?

That way you'll still have a use if I ever get stuck in the snow....
