Corona Virus are you ready?

My over educated daughter, BS cellular biology Sonoma State, MS pharmacology University of the Pacific and Ph.D. microbiology from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Most of the time says everyone overreacts on the flu etc. She is telling me to get ready for this one. She expects many schools and colleges to be closed. She told me to have enough food and meds to go at least 2 weeks if the government says we need to self-quarantine. The only bright spot she sees is the virus is not hitting small kids. As far as us old people not good.

What are you doing if anything?

Edit. We now have a Covid 19 forum

I'm happy that we moved to the foothills and have the space to self isolate. Going to stock the freezer and pantry. Make sure I got enough rolling papers to last.

Cant wait for the panic buys. A few weeks ago, people in HK were rushing out and stocking up toilet paper. You literally couldn't wipe your ass over there.

Considering most of us live in earthquake and power outage country it’s probably not a bad idea to have some supplies.

I had a neighbor near my old house, in the Bay Area, who had an entire wall in his garage filled with stacked cases of water. I couldn't help wondering how many of those will come crashing to the floor in the event of an earthquake.

Wow, congrats on the successful daughter :) Flour, beans, sugar, eggs, oil and water, keep those ingredients on hand you can make anything you want for a month. Reminds me I need to stop at Costco tonight :laughing

I cant imagine how funky tasting that water will be the day that comes he finally decides to take a sip.

Got the ammo taken care of.

I live in hurricane country so I have supplies and if I run low there is the fully stocked pond in my backyard with tons of crappie, catfish, and bass just waiting to be eaten. Also, have a flock of ducks if it comes down to it.
