My homemade moonshine is now 1 month aged in the cask.
Sure. I've got a little extra.
Bulleit was great when it was 4 Roses distillate. Not so much a fan since they started doing their own thing, especially since they're trying to ride that SW hype train. Literally zero correlation between the two... but that's marketing.
Whistle Pig is good, but obscenely expensive, and has some pretty shady marketing tactics as well.
Give him Johnnie Walker Green.
Most people have never heard of it, it's delicious as hell, less than half the cost of Blue (overpriced, bland, marketing hype) and you can strike up a conversation about what he likes or dislikes in it after he's had a few drams.
Thanks. After thinking about it I still went with the Blue. Which was $40 cheaper at Costco v BevMo.
The gift isn’t about me, or to teach him about what’s what, it’s to show my appreciation.
TBH, I prefer red or green over blue. Am I a Philistine?
I like a good single malt, but I'm not averse to blends :x
I also like Pabst blue ribbon!
Edit: though I prefer Olympia is I can find it
