What will it take to convince you of climate change?

Do you guys not admit that the earth was warming before our ancestors started burning shit?

Sure, but at a much much longer scale.

Look at it this way. Someone on a bicycle accelerating, and say they could do it forever. Eventually they would get to 500 miles an hour. Someone comes a long and straps a jet engine to it, and boom cyclist is doing that speed in matter of seconds.

Now the fact that they were doing it very slowly. Is that relevant to the part that they got to same speed quickly with a help if a jet engine?

In light of the new normal there will be a $300 per way Coronavirus fee on all international flights ($150 domestic) to offset the extra carbon emissions related to extra cleaning/safety measures and protocols.

can we all just agree that in a few billion, the Sun will solve all our problems with Earth for us?

This is exactly what I mean when I always tell people that it is all going to be fine.

They are comforted more often than I expect. I wonder if I should further explain myself.

Of course.

Given that the last ice age ended about 11,700 years ago, isn't it time for Earth to get icy again?

"We should be heading into another ice age right now," Sandstrom told Live Science.

But two factors related to Earth's orbit that influence the formation of glacials and interglacials are off.

"That, coupled with the fact that we pump so much carbon dioxide into the atmosphere [means] we're probably not going to enter a glacial for at least 100,000 years," he said.

Fake Science. :twofinger

Here's more for you.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the world’s volcanoes, both on land and undersea, generate about 200 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually, while our automotive and industrial activities cause some 24 billion tons of CO2 emissions every year worldwide.

Despite the arguments to the contrary, the facts speak for themselves: Greenhouse gas emissions from volcanoes comprise less than one percent of those generated by today’s human endeavors.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/earthtalks-volcanoes-or-humans/

Overall, the study estimated that fires in the contiguous United States and Alaska release about 290 million metric tons of carbon dioxide a year, which is about 4 to 6 percent of the amount of the greenhouse gas that the nation releases through fossil fuel burning.

So, ya gotta throw down extra $300. to sit in a corona infection tube with no guarantee?

A guarantee you catch it, or not catch it? Which?

I disagree I think these fees will go a long way in keeping our skies safe and at risk americans healthy.

Similar to how the Patriot Act and the TSA have made us more safe and helped to secure our liberties and rights we can protect many more Americans with a swift response to this crisis.

Of course I couldn’t go all the way through that cool chart but if I grasp the basics there was once an ice age and then things warmed up.
