highside surprise!

I'm not ready to give up the ZX10 yet, but I have taken it down a notch and allow more room for surprises on the back roads. One can negotiate thousands of turns flawlessly then get bit by the big ass redwood due to one brain fart. The Kawi brings out the competitor in me; not only w/ other bikes, but w/ myself. It is by far the most fun when ridden aggresively and that is how it is ridden. That is what it was designed for after all.
I have had to admit that when we have family that depend on us, there is a point somewhere when taking additional risks is just selfish.
I am less tempted w/ my other (tamer) bike. I can still enjoy a spirited ride but i'm just less tempted to push the envelope.
FWIW, 4 of my riding friends who are respected riders have picked up wings over the last few years and enjoy the hell out of them.
:thumbup great post.
