No More AMA On SPEED

I am ok with the streaming option as a direction of the future. The MOTOGP package is comprehensive, but I wouldn't plop down $150 per series to watch all of the races. But I like the idea none the less. If WSBK were included in the package, I wouldn't hesitate to subscribe. My buddy gets it every year as a Christmas present and he has nothing but good things to say about it, while the rest of us have been bitching about the Speed coverage as long as I can remember. I really am pulling for an internet based alternative because I don't think any network will ever do MC racing justice. They can make it squeeze into an hour time slot, so they will. We will always miss out on the stuff that makes good coverage good.

Who knows; now that MotoGP and WSBK are "under one roof" so to speak, an inclusive option just might be offered in the future. I certainly don't see it as a bad thing. Here, it's the 25th anniversary of the series, it looks like it could be the best ever, Philip Island is only 3 weeks away and we don't even know if we are going to be able to watch. Kinda sucks, really.

Thinking about asking them "How much $$$" to televise the series in the US this season. Then of course, how much to add WSBK, AMA, etc. It would be easy to get a local cable network to televise it if you can get the sponsors to cover most of the price of the subscription. Advertisers could cover the rest.

Invent your own network, or use an existing one. -Should- be easy I would think??? All you need is $$$ money $$$ ...? There are plenty of empty cable channels that could be activated?

Ok, who out there has some money & is interested?

I just heard a rumor that AFM races will be on KRON 4 this year. Some production company based in Santa Clara is putting it together.
