No More AMA On SPEED

Speed tv will cover ama pro racing from daytona march 14-16 but, will not cover the balance of the 2013 season.

Bastiges! So no more AMA, Motogp, and F1. Are they dropping WSBK too? If so, absolutely no reason for me to continue to pay for Speed!

For all you people that are on the late train, FX (which owns SPEED) is getting out of the sports network business altogether. SPEED is going to be rebranded as FOX Sports 1 and just be an all sports channel. Speed has really turned to crap over the last few years anyway.

I don't know what's going to happen to AMA racing but FOX Sports 1 plans to air the F1 races, delayed of course, which doesn't make sense since the vast majority of the races start between 11pm and 5am PST. :dunno

I hope they're smart enough to retain the same commentators instead of using some ignorant American that's clueless about F1... but I'm sure the coverage will be dumbed-down and full of NASCAR commercials.:|

I think WSBK at Laguna would be amazing. Still sucks to have AMA leave my nearby track because of convenience.

Speed has sucked, and will continue to suck. If you can internet (and if your're reading this, you can) it's within your capability to get high resolution videos of any and all racing your little heart desires.

Fuck speed channel.

That new nbc sports shit is looking more and more promising though.

Fox in general sucks ass when it comes to sports. Always has, always will.

They are losing the English Premier League to NBC starting the '13-'14 season. And thank goodness because the people on FSC suck hard.

I'm going to drop speed if I can't watch motogp, I was going to go in halves with a buddy for the motogp app, I just need to be able to run it on my 55 inch TV. Anyone have a Apple TV app that will work?

I don't shed a tear for Speed. That whole network was just so bad. Deserves to be shot and replaced with something else.

And if you miss AMA racing, just go out and watch the AFM races. Same thing only a little slower. AMA racing has become a joke of a racing series.

What's funny is, in my opinion, the series best positioned to rule the freaking moto racing world right now is World Superbike. The racing is incredibly exciting, the grids are big, all the manufacturers are there, and the bikes are at least remotely resembling of what we ride on the streets. And Dorna's going to fuck it all up.

This doesn't suck. It is, in fact, one of the best things to happen to Moto racing in the US in a long time. I am really hoping that they drop MotoGP and WSBK as well.

Anybody - literally anybody - will do a better job.


Fuck, at this point, I'd almost like to see Netflix pick it up.

Go Pro? Time to get into the broadcasting business.

Meh, doesn't matter to me. I hate Speed's coverage anyway, and I'd be willing to bet that AMA will find someone else to cover/carry their races. And if they don't... man, that'd be rough for them. I doubt ticket sales alone cover the bills.

As for the other motorcycle racing that won't be on Speed, I don't care in the least. I'll keep getting my EuroSport torrents, which are SOOOOOO much better than Speed could ever hope to be.
