He would absolutely be #2 by then, yes.
Tom Brady could win the next 5 SBs retire with 12 wins, 10 sb MVP at the age of 48 and delusional niner fans would think he is mayyybe a top 3 QB of all time.
lol
I put Rich Gannon over Joe Montana all day. Twice on Sunday.
Is that how he finally passes Steve Young? :laughing
Steve Young? Hell, he can't even carry Garcia's water yet.
That washed up Viking that the Raiders eventually replaced with Vodka Collins?
That is a well stated troll, sir.
:laughing
in all seriousness I never looked up the side by side stats between Brady and Montana. That is pretty unreal, Montana isn't even remotely close in any respect. Not wins (regular season of playoffs), not TDs, not yards, not wins %, not superbowls, not MVPs, not probowls, not completion percentage, not passer rating, literally nothing.
Hell Brady has nearly double the games played and barely has more interceptions.
I thought there would be at least one thing Montana had him bested in, but I can't find a single thing. Pretty wild.
From April.

One Tuck rule away from having the universe reversed where Gannon is SB champ and the GOAT.

LOL, Always Raiders fans trying to push QB's with a career QBR Rating less than 70 as the GOAT. :laughing
"Bruh, he was the best punching bag in history for like 3 years while making little side arm lobs while we won with brutal Defense and Hard Running!" :laughing
Yeah, I mean part of that shit like I said is because of how much LONGER Brady has played. There is a reason that Favre held all the records for most of everything. You start for 20+ years you just win by attrition. My assumption is that Brady won't retire until Drew Brees is over and he passes Brees in Career yards.
:laughing
My cousin sacked Garcia when he was a DE for the Raiders. That's when Garcia was playing for Tampa though.
Can Brady at least get a John Brodie pass?
:laughing
They actually improve when the rules change so offense and scoring increases and defenses aren't allowed to play defense :teeth
Percentages are funny though, they don't really care about the par value. Brady's nominal and % figures are better than Montana's. So that tells me he had better longevity and better seasons.
Look at win %, td/int ratio, passer rating, yards/gm, etc. Those don't improve just because you play longer. In fact, unless you are Tom Brady they all go down as you get older (see Joe Montana for reference). That actually makes the figures even more impressive.
