If anyone happens to be tall and skinny, I have a 1pc leather suit you can borrow.

AJ - As far as tires go, as long as they have enough tread in them and you get with the tire guys at the track to set your pressures you'll be fine.

Helmet: Getting a new one next week. I will make sure it's what the z2 site is okay.
Suit: Bilt 1 piece leather
Back protector: Alpine star Nucleon
Boots: Alpine star Sector. Looking to upgrade as I want better ankle protection... Looking at SIDI Vertigo 2 maybe?
Gloves: Sedici Ultimo

Bike: 2002 GSX-R600. Needs tires. Still looking through the old threads for previous years trackdays to see what people are running. Any suggestions?

Gonna tear the bike apart to clean and service it next week. I'm a couple miles away from the Suzuki dealership if any problems arise.

For your first track day I would recommend running the tires you ran on the street, or the ones you like the best/feel the most comfortable on. I ran Dunlop q3 for my first track days on my street bike, and I was in mid B group. If you ride on the street or commute with your bike, there is no point in switching to a higher performance tire yet, because they do not last as long.

Sweet dude! I have a nice pair of Dianese torque RS boots in a size 9 I can loan. I also have one piece leathers in a EU size 50 (shorter than 5'-10" 32" inseam and skinny build) I don't use, but fair warning, they are not perforated.

Thanks for the offer on the boots. I'm a 14 so I'll pass but thanks!

My only gear concern is my boots. I have dainese axial pro boots, are these track legal?

I'll also need to do some light maintenance on my daytona before our fun weekend.

Axial pro are a good boot. I used to run them until I switched to A* because I kept blowing out zippers on the Dianese boots.

Good luck finding 14's! I'm a 13 and I constantly have to size down to a 12.5

Mostly replying to AJ.

Revzill seems to have a really good size selection (a few 15.5s as a quick search). Also never hurts to DM TJ from Riders Discount (barf sponsor) to see what he has. Buying the newest version of a boot helps quite a bit too due to fresh stock.

Looking fwd to seeing you back in your natural habitat at the track J, and congrats to the n00bs, we'll see you at the morning riders meetings and in the classroom during the day. More to come on those things in an email blast that'll go out prior to the event. This is always an epic event, I'll want you and Bassem up front again this year to introduce your n00bs, be ready! If I can help in any way let me know, otherwise back to lurking on the thread for me

Thank you. I'm going to try some on this weekend locally then hit up the vendors and see what I can get.

So I am trying to figure out how I'm going to get my bike to the track.

Option 1 is rent a motorcycle trailer. I dont think my Prius can tow...so I may also need to rent a vehicle that tows.

Option 2 is rent a pick up truck. But to get the bike on the truck bed, do I need to buy a ramp?

Rent a truck from Enterprise. Yes you will need tie downs and a ramp

still a noob
Sorry I'm a bit late on this: here's my bike and gear!

Helmet: Shoei RF-1200
Suit: Alpinestars Orbiter 1-piece (Older suit model, couple of years old, got it from a friend)
I was also thinking of potentially using my textile jacket and pants since it sounds like Z2 allows textiles for the novice group? Let me know if that's a bad idea
Textile Jacket: Dainese Super Speed Textile
Textile Pants: Dainese New Drake Air
Gloves: Dainese Pro Carbon (Pretty old model, from the early 2010s) - debating replacing these
Boots: Sidi ST Air

Bike: 2011 CBR250RA. Tires are in decent shape. Fluids all seem fine as does chain. One thing I'm not sure about is that it's been lowered and I've scraped pegs before when I wasn't leaned over that much so we'll see how that goes.

I'm sure we can find you some ramps and tie-downs to borrow, so just secure the truck. Try to work with the others to see if you can share rides/expenses and help each other out with loading/unloading and all that.

Super excited for this; still can't believe I won!

Also Duck_rider, I'll be coming from SF as well and looking for a way to get my bike up. We could potentially rent a truck and get some tie downs?

robertwyu and NoobieDavie - What do you guys think about renting a Uhaul van? I think we could squeeze 3 motorcycles in one of the larger cargo vans they offer. We just have to get some tie-downs and a ramp.

Yeah I'm down to rent together. I live in San Jose, though. Are you both in SF?

I've seen 4 bikes and gear in a 17' uhall. They already have a ramp, but you will need tie downs. You have to put them in sideways so they are all against a wall. One right, one left, then righ, and the last left. Biggest bikes in first to smallest for maneuvering.

You can always bring your textiles, but bring both in case Z2 doesn't like the lower grade stuff.

Good to know!

robertwyu and NoobieDave - Are you guys planning to camp up the night before? Or drive up/down for the day?
