I am so stoked to see Cam go race in Moto2.

He is a great mix of Rainey and Lawson and is so fucking good. He has the mental side covered. I expect he will challenge right away and I can’t wait to watch him race with them boys. It will raise his game.

If Joe can battle with him all the better. :flag

Next year gonna be good. :drool

Oh yeah MotoGP should be aight too. ;)

Anyone up for a trip to the Ozarks for the Hillbilly Barefoot Kissin' Cousins GP?

NOTE: I don't care if MotoGP ever races at this track, I just wanted to make a hillbilly joke.

The track layout looks pretty cool. You can see some elevation changes.... which prrobably are bigger than they look.

“ One unique feature of the raceway is a 58-bay car garage made from renovated turkey barns that were on the property”. That is some quality soil amendments right there I tell ya.
Sunday I was discussing a moderately distressed Lake of the Ozarks house with a high school friend. The Kansas City cool kids in those days had lake homes there. A bit of a tow for a track day so I may have to borrow or rent a bike. I don’t object to riding there but have personal competitive concerns.

Racing seasons have consequences.

Yamaha doing poorly and demoting Valentino to the Sepang team must not be going over well with Monster Energy.

Eh, I wouldn't actually call it a demotion. Rossi gets the latest bike with full factory support. And he probably has more freedom to make his own decisions on set up instead of being forced in any particular direction. I think he'll actually do better at Petronas. I also think 2021 will be his last year racing. 2022 he'll own the Sponserama Ducati team.

For sure that could have been the deal breaker, but Fabio and Mav is still formidable if they can make the Piano work.

Plus Monster can still support them indivually which is likely.

Not sure on the Sponserama deal, but me thinks he will end up running a team at some point.

If Rossi is involved in team ownership/management, I can't see it being a third tier Ducati house. I think he learned his lesson with Ducati and it doesn't seem like much has changed. If he takes over a team (including Esponsorama), it makes sense it would be with a Japanese powerplant, even given Yamaha's woes of late. Having that rumored satellite Suzuki team with Rossi involvement seems like fun.

I so want to see a Suzuki Satelite Team.

Is there a limit of riders on the grid or can they add two more??
Also wonder what the Suzuki Monster Livery will look like. Looked good on the Yamaha.

I think Rossi has a looooooong term contract to be a Yamaha brand ambassador for years after he retires so there might be complications with him running a team for another manufacturer. David Emmett said this was part of why getting Luca Marini onto the Avintia/Esponsorama team with VR46 Sky branding/sponsorship was so complicated. VR46 is Rossi's brand but it will be on a Ducati despite Rossi having a contract to promote Yamaha.

We all know that contracts don't mean much when you are Sam Lowes but they do mean a lot when you are Valentino Rossi or a major manufacturer.

Yes, and from what I recall only Marini will run Sky VR46 colors. Like I said, I just think if he takes over an entire team it will be Japanese, and probably a Yamaha venture if that long Yamaha contract is in force as you say. But if there's one guy who has the most clout on the paddock, it's Rossi. My guess is whatever he wants, he'll probably get it.
