Gubment check, IIRC, with Dept of Defense on it, but mostly "The Naval Post Graduate School of Monterey" was what I saw... and when I'd go cash it at the bank new tellers would always look at me cross-eyed for some reason.

It was a typical one page application to fill out, but I was told about the job by a friend of my father's. The only test I was given was to see if I could count change back. I could.

I did it for about 3 months, but since I didn't have a car/bike at the time I quit when I found a job closer to home that I could walk to.

When the money would get picked up from the store it was protected by federal police that would patrol the area when it was more open. (This was late 70's, it's all sealed up now.)

Interesting, was this a Union Job?

Nope.

I was in high school, it was like an on NPS campus annex. It was 12 hours a week, I would count my drawer, fill out the form, lock it, hand it over, without ever needlessly breaking a roll. :dunno
