True!

I was cooking some more tonight for something else, and even just sauteing them in hot olive oil was enough to make my eyes burn. Glad they weren't Ghost peppers or something. Turned on range fan and that fixed issue. But damn - even the vapor from those things is noxious!!! But um, they are tasty. . .

You were sauteing mucus membranes in hot olive oil? NICE.

Been there and done that! However, for over 15 years I've been using a SS "soap" bar to wash with. One day I tried it after cutting up hot peppers and it worked great! It not only removes the odor but all traces of "burn".

Use it thoroughly (both sides of hand, between fingers and I scratch it real good with fingers and nails) including during the rinse. Then wash with soap. I suck on a finger when done to test before that wayward finger gets loose!

It seems like a miracle!

I haven't used one of these before so I'm skeptical. But eager to try it.

Shampoo I've found is also better at stripping the oils out of your skin than most other soaps - useful for getting grease off your hands when you've been wrenching, and also better at getting those jalapeno oils out of your skin.

In college had a habanero eating contest with some of my brothers. Most everyone tapped out after a few bites and ran for the water fountain, jug of milk, or any other cold beverage that was readily available. One guy went straight to the bathroom, moments later we heard god awful screaming and four words I’ll never forget, “my d#%k’s on fire!!!”

Dawn dish soap is the shiznit for grease and oils.

Having put multiple 10-penny nails through my dick, including the head, I find your story weak at best.

:thumbup Agree 100%

It's also great for getting dirty oil stains out of your garage concrete.

Also used in manufacturing!!!

It looks really simple, BTW. Two surfactants, something for "extra foamy," and a little ethanol for some reason.

This is also why you shouldn't clean car with dish soap. Contrary to popular belief, it's not alkaline enough in weak dilute to remove wax. But one of the surfactants (and I don't remember which one) reduces water spots on dishes by design. It will make your car look like you didn't wax it for that reason. Your wax is still there - you just won't see beading anymore.
