Totally serious.
Seriously tempted to at least try and catch a deer with bare hands.
I was also thinking a gladiator style net and trident method of hunting.
What about a dry ice bomb?
Drone method of snaring?
Seriously, there's got to be a way to legally hunt deer in city limits!

Check your local laws. Pretty much any discharge of a firearm within City Limits is illegal in the Yay Area. You might be able to bow hunt them without being arrested, but probably have violated game laws. If you are going to try and hunt deer with your bare hands, please, please, film it for BARF.
There used to be these asshole turkeys in Davis by the cemetery. I wanted to get night vision goggles and a samurai sword and slaughter those bastards on a moonless night.
There is no way any of this is legal. With all due respect, your fantasies are extremely disturbing and as a hunter I DO NOT WANT YOU TO SPEAK ON MY BEHALF. Hunting receives enough bad press because of a few idiots and it’s shit like this that fuels anti-hunters misguided perceptions.
Do yourself a favor and click on this link, scroll down to the hunting sections, click on the PDF link that interest you and learn something. https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Regulations
I'm sure it's completely illegal but you could try a bola or atl-atl. :laughing
Roofing nail gun?
I agree about the disturbing part but this type of confession is not new to the poster/
My uncles hunt deer with shotguns in/near townships/cities in Mich. I don't know what the rules are here.

A hunter who sparked outrage last year after he shot and killed a deer with a bow and arrow has pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge.
Michael Jackson Rodriguez entered his plea Tuesday to one misdemeanor count of possessing fish or wildlife taken unlawfully, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office. Under the negotiated plea deal, a judge sentenced Rodriguez to three years of summary probation and 30 days of community service.
Rodriguez must also surrender all hunting licenses and is prohibited from hunting while on probation. He also has to pay a $1,000 fine to the state Fish and Game Preservation fund and must also give up his seized property — which includes a bow, arrows and remains of the deer — to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, according to the prosecutor.
Rodriguez was accused of killing a deer with a bow and arrow in a Monrovia neighborhood on Sept. 14. It is illegal to shoot a deer or discharge a deadly weapon within 150 yards of a home.
REST OF STORY
So what you’re saying is, education, respect and a positive representation of self are highly unlikely.
When did I speak on your behalf as a hunter? I've never hunted and frankly have no interest in using my guns, enough to constitute the need for a gun rack, for anything other than putting various sized holes into cans. Not knowing the laws in asking the question but find it hard to believe there is no way a person could legally hunt in "city limits".
Deer aren't protected just because they wandered across a fictional line. They're still deer.
Dude, samurai sword!!!!
Legal?
Also what about a pike?
A whip?
While it sounds like you're being coy )), the legal methods of take I linked to in my first post in this thread are the ONLY approved methods of take.
And the imaginary lines definitely matter, in a legal sense.
Here's a recent story that is exactly what you're talking about:

I hope this helps. Most hunters get pretty prickly when the topic of poaching and illegal take of game animals comes up.
