Today, driving in to work, I saw the amber alert sign on in the distance. As I got near it I checked it out to see who had been kidnapped or what road conditions they were going to warn everyone about... but no, wait... HUH!??!?!

"SHARE THE ROAD. LOOK TWICE FOR MOTORCYCLISTS"

I don't know who did it, or HOW you did it... and really I don't care, but I would like to say THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

I feel so proud today :) (Although now I wish I would've rode in, so I could wave at everyone after they read the sign, hahaha!)

This helps put me at ease, not just now for when I ride, knowing more people were made aware of our existence, even if just for a day! But also for my friends and loved ones who are out there riding, I can worry just a *smidgin* less. :ride

OMG i was about to post this up too! I saw one on my way to work on 580 W around seminary. I think it is awesome! who controls these things? I want to find a way to let them know that what they are doing is great and they should do it more often.

That's a great idea! I would happily write/call/email/kiss them to express my gratitude :teeth

If anyone knows the culprit, please let us know so we can attack him/her with thanks! :twofinger

Oops...guess I missed it on the sign while making a bad name for motorcyclists by weaving through traffic at high speed. :|

Just got into work and sat down to post the same thing...280 NB by Lawrence!!! Don't know how many people will stop and think about it, but I guess if even ONE person does than it is a little safer out there for everyone:thumbup

I'm really pleased to see these being used for a positive, traffic related purpose.

remember, the state gubbymint is thinking of selling advertising space on these. that plan needs to be opposed. the signs should be used only for important messages, such as amber alerts, upcoming accidents or other obstructions and reminders like this. the average driver doesn't think much of us out there- this may help save some lives

i saw it on the way to work! 880SB and 280NB :thumbup:thumbup

S101 at Millbrae:
"Share the road. Look twice for motorcyclists"

There I was lane sharing in very heavy traffic, and I look up to check the sign, and it's about ME!

I felt so validated.

Still invisible, but validated. Great message. Hope they continue to run it.
