Source? Background? Something?
Things that are not prohibited or regulated are legal, yes?
Sorry no cite just years working with the legislature. If there isn't a law making something illegal then it doesn't to my mind necessarily make it legal. It's just not illegal. It's a grey area open to interpretation which is what we kinda had with regard to lane sharing.
The bill itself, as currently written, says nothing about sharing on single lane (each direction) roads.
So why is everybody so excited about supporting it?
Is it going to be one those "grey areas" where not illegal means legal?
The Guidelines and Public awareness campaign started to make a difference. Thus making the practice safer. Those got taken down by a bogus claim from a chump named Mandler and in my opinion an over zealous Office of Administrative Law.
They cannot go back easily.
This brings them back.
This brings the vehicle code up to date making it 100% recognized.
This will help other States (riders) who are looking to get Lane Sharing legalized there, because they don't see the gray like California does.
oh yeah... 2 + 2 = 4.
That part I got.
What happened to splitting on single lanes?
Attempting to share lanes on single-lane roads like Highway 35 and 9 seems like a Bad Idea. I can't say that I've ever done it and would be very surprised if it were made legal...
That part I got.
