2021 Ford Bronco - shots fired

OK I'm pretty sure I like the 2 door more than the 4 door, after looking at more angles.

The side shot is what sours me to the four door. Kind of the same thing with the Wrangler Unlimited. That extra length...just looks off.

What really sucks for me here is I will more than likely be buying a new car later this year as I will probably be letting my wife have my Acura lease deal. All of the shit I am genuinely excited about is not coming till next spring. The TLX Type-S, the Bronco, the updated Colorado ZR2, and maybe the new F-150. So I’ll have to just go and get a Civic or something to daily in the meantime. I know, first world problems.

I'm gonna need a new car in the next year or so since my POS Magnum doesn't get good enough mileage for shuffling between Sacto and SJ.

New cars are out of the question though. :(

To be fair, if the problem is poor mileage from the Magnum, I doubt these Broncos will be an improvement.

I'll probably be selling my Volt in a little while. 2013 with 82k on it.

Dude when I first saw the 4 door with the roof and doors off I was like “perfect to mount a turret”

Jesus. You think big. I saw the dash top rail system with the phone and GoPro mounts and thought that was kind of cool, but you’re going straight to a TOW launcher or M2 on the roof?

Basically. I was thinking a CROWS would be perfect.

FleaBay has a turret kit for only $1500.

With all the open space though I could definitely see the rear seats being stripped out and used as mounting points for a recoilless rifle base plate or something though too.

Yes, plug in hybrid. 30-40 miles on battery and then it switches to hybrid mode. I like the car but I don't commute anymore and we want to get a newer Odyssey with all the trimmings like parking sensors and flip down DVD screens.

I think this is the first new domestic vehicle that appears to maybe be living up to the hype. I pessimistically expected it to be a let down, but it looks like it's a really, really good package. Hopefully Ford doesn't fuck it up on the quality side.

How long before they get shipped overseas and get turned into shitty technicals?

Hahahaha! 3rd owner problems :(

DO THIS MIKE! From Sac to SJ, you'll be halfway on gas (about 38-40 MPG or so on gas) and like Fred said: about 40 miles on electric. You can get better, but it's temperature dependent. I LOVED my Volt. Drove consistently from P-hill to Davis and had about 110MPG historical. Protip: the mileage isn't as big a problem for the drivetrain given much of it may be on the electric motor. Historical MPG will tell you how much the ICE engine has been ran.

One of my old coworkers had a Volt. He said he would intentionally go on a long drive a couple times a year just to cycle the fuel because he barely ever had to come off of electric mode with his commute (could charge at work too).

I was hoping for a V8 engine. I'm hearing Jeep will go the V8 route to compete.

he didn't have to. the car does that all by itself if the ICE hasn't run frequently enough. a friend told me about it because his commute was almost exactly 40 miles round trip, but had a charger at work so almost never bought gas. the engine would come on during his commute automatically with plenty of battery left
