Just like Ford got the retro pony car right with the Mustang. They got the retro Bronco right also. I like it.

Ford did a good job selling the excitement through this video... I kinda want one even though I’m not in the market for a 4x4 SUV .

This could be a viable candidate to replace my landcruiser once they start trickling onto the used.market.

I wonder if this is going to be at all like the toyota FJ Cruiser where there were comparatively few manual transmission models made and the enthusiasts gobbled them up. Of course toyota doesnt really allow one to order what they want which restricts availability of certain option packages which isnt applicable to the bronco

Ford specifically states the bronco can be flat towed with the transfer case in neutral. That's kindof a big deal to the RV crowd. Pretty cool

Going to make a Wrangler look cheap, me thinks.

What's interesting isn't so much that Ford did this, but more so, that Jeep didn't. This thing is pretty high tech, in contrast to the new Wrangler.

I love it. It’s everything I hoped it would look like. I’d put in a deposit immediately, but that Ecoboost engine (either one) is a pretty strong deterrent to me. Was just in the Ford shop today and they’ve got a new 4 cylinder Explorer scattered apart that is getting a brand new cylinder head because of bad casting. The Ford techs tell me it’s been getting worse and worse with the EcoBoosts (4 and 6) with major engine failures.

Considering it's literally the same running gear as the Ranger, that's no surprise. My truck is apparently becoming a new favorite for RV'ing types.

Ford techs are full of shit. Always have been, always will be. The numbers don't support their luddite-based disdain for the boosted engines and Ford themselves, as well as other notable testers, have shown there's nothing wrong with the vast majority of the boosted-engine line. The reality is, after visiting Fremont and Mission Valley Ford in the last week and walking the service facilities with the fleet service managers (looking for a new vendor for our pickups), I saw far more non-boosted engines in pieces than I did boosted-engines. No engine is bulletproof when operated by an ignorant owner and I'd surmise that most issues or failures having to do with lack of maintenance or unadvised operating conditions. It's always worth noting that even though their shirts say "Ford" on them, they're not employed by FMC per say, they're employed by the Ford dealer and they're also, almost always, NOT mechanical engineers. Take what they think they know with a grain of salt.

Also, a bad casting is a vendor problem, not necessarily an assembly or design problem.
