2020 Corvette.

get it while it's easy
hate to be contrary - but lol @ chevy. what a shit show. irrespective of the underlying concept, they threw literally EVERYTHING angular they could think of against the wall design wise. i actually looked at it and thought to myself - where is the f’ing over the stove pot filler? it’s an almost batman joker type deal. IMHO - a sad devolution of a previously awesome brand.

looks like a fake ferrari 360-430 in the front and for the rear a combo of the last c7 stingray vette/camaro - heavily leaning towards camaro like 70/30... quad spread pipes, lame rectangular exhaust, lame tail lights etc

still looks good

Rolls with it...
So far I like it, mostly, and I can't wait to see one in person. I will bet GM will bring a couple to Monterey for Historics/Concours week.

It looks pretty sick in white. I'm not a fan of all the styling cues, and the interior looks atrocious, but overall it does not displease me.

also expect this c8 corvette to be marked up well beyond the 1st year

the civic type R that have been out for 2 years are still being marked up 10-15k over.

its sad if you guys read some articles, sports cars are dieing (less drivers = even less enthusiasts), for instance both Toyota and BMW knew they had to split the development costs of the new supra/z4 to bring it to production, if they developed it themselves both they would probably not be profitable - just because of the #'s of sales.

The new civic type R being like a 30k car, still doesnt appeal to much of the population like say the late 90's civic si and integra type R, so they are not being shipped to dealers with multiple stock, they are all kinda limited runs and the 1 on the showroom floor marked up sky high.

Sad thing, thats why im seriously thinking bout just gobbling up a hellcat or demon charger, this will be my straight line drag car, and ultimately i will get some eletric hybrid sport car for the future, but the times are changing and who knows if we will ever get 700-800hp production cars ever again?

I think with new models manufacturers deliberately design in a little bit of ugly to give them an easy update for the 2nd/3rd year model refresh.

The difference there is that the Civic Type R is a niche version of a base model with limited production. The Corvette will be a base model. I definitely expect to see markups at launch, and probably markups for high end models will sustain when they come out (the Z06, ZR1 type models) but the base model should stabilize.

Yea, I would want a plugin version for sure. giving the ability to put around town or on commute using no gas, but having the power and fun when you want it would be nice. Probably won't be the best track car in that spec due to the weight, but better every day.

True but more ppl have 30k to spend vs 60k to spend on a toy. And let's be honest the type r would run circles around the c8 Vette in the hands of a normal driver say on 9 or skaggs

SKRRRRRRRRRRRT!!!!!!
They don't make a demon charger :twofinger. Yet....hellcat wide body charger next year or end of this year. I have a 6 speed 392 Challenger t/a plus. It's plenty of fun. Back seats are roomier than a mustang or Camaro. I've beaten both in a straight line and im bone stock other than Mopar performance exhaust and intake which is basically the same as stock. I actually went to buy a civic type r at advertised price which was msrp got there to find a hand written 12k mark up. The dealer mark ups are what's killing the market IMO. I'm on my phone so it's harder to post but car and driver just posted a bunch of on road shots of the c8 The base package without the spoiler looks the best

Let me know if you want to run them. The 1320 Scat I just dusted at the strip is questioning his life choices right now :laughing
