Ya'll have a TV in your garage?

I don't have a garage, so I don't have a TV in my garage.

I do have a workshop in my basement though. It has a raspberry pi computer to run the CNC machines and lookup documents, and a good sound system for listening to music or podcasts while I'm working.

Its your workspace, you know how you like to work, do what you want with it.

It's your space, do what makes you happy. Call it a garage, workshop, man cave whatever.

Pretty much all my friends local that don't use their garages to park their cars or bikes have a TV in there to go along with a Dart board, pool table, ping pong, whatever.

We got a TV to use in the back yard. It’s on a cart and usually is in the garage.

KHAAAAAN!
Just finished painting couple of walls in the garage. One more to go this weekend. Not sure about the ceiling though.

I have another cabinet on order which I'll get next week. I have to get some more peg board hooks and such to hang the tools I have. Replaced that sad single white one with these black modular ones. Still a ways to go. Once I get the other cabinet, I'll finish up cleaning up the wires.

Since we are on the subject of garage. The l'faithful garage door is shot to hell and need replacement. What is the brand, with insulation for the summer's devil heat, that the BARF collective recommends?

You need to start your own thread. I’m sure opinions are to be had.

Never had a TV or radio in the garage. The garage is where I go to get away from both...

Same for me, same reasons.

I let the kids keep a boombox in it when they were teens with the strict understanding that I never wanted to hear it. They never lost the privilege, they were that good about it.

I've had neighbors come over to seek refuge from their monster TVs. Usually we have King of the Hill style conversations for a beer time or two, then they go back to their raucous families and relatives, all recharged. :thumbup

Dunno, but I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Yeah, we are last people in 70s built nhood that still have a plywood garage door which is shot. I keep procrastinating about it because I fear another bad experience with installer contractor. So I am also interested in actual installer recommendations that aren't assholes. (and to be pre-emptive, no, I am not all about lowest-possible bidding)

When we were renting a few years ago, our landlord had a decent company come out to replace broken springs. Super honest and great service. But that's out here in Sacramento. :nchantr

Good luck on the hunt for a contractor though.

We do not have a garage yet but have a full basement with car access. The TV we have there is a left over so it made sense to put in the basement for my bike trainer and Zwift. Good thing it is on the other side of the basement otherwise when I am cutting, grinding, and welding the odd project, the TV is out of harms way.

I use a Marshall Bluetooth speaker for sound when I am just wrenching though.

Never considered having a computer down there but makes sense when looking at schematics.

OP your garage is looking good! :thumbup

It's funny. I have lived in Richmond area for over four decades and we have a local company whose name always seemed funny, R&S Erection. Might check em out. The worst thing is that there is amost zero credibility with Yelp and such with contractors, I learned the hard way.

OP, find a picture of a pegboard with tools on it and make that the TV screen saver. :laughing

We have one TV and it isn't in the garage. I do have a Sonos zone and bookshelf speakers out there and it gets a lot of use.

We went with Costco and they did a great job.

Landscaping is improved since this Street View, TSX is in Miami and Miata is in the garage now that I'm down to one bike.
