Ya'll have a TV in your garage?

I guess Jr Man Cave is another view. :laughing

As for pictures/posters.....eh...not really my thing.

Wine/beer fridge is in the future though.

You may get you mancave permit revoked.

Yeah though, if it is a chill/office space in addition to being a workshop, that is what I would call it. For me the garage is for 2 things, parking and project work.

Laundry equipment is allowed.

If you start building outside of that spec, I think it turns into a different kind of space. I knew one dude in Mill Valley years ago that installed this big comfy old timey Barbers chair in the floor, a wet bar, neon signs, black and white VCT checks on the floor. He would talk about, "come hang out in the garage," I was like, "dude, that is not a garage, I know your Range Rover is parked in there, but that is a Lounge." :laughing

No. Just the computer for .pdf service manuals, OE parts fiches, and searching forums, and watching youtube video tutorials.

Occasionally I've put something on the computer while I work, like a race, and I find I get distracted and stare at it for a minute, then I can't remember if I just tightened that bolt, or where the screwdriver is that's actually in my hand. So I just stick to music. But I don't have a treadmill, or any workout equipment, in my garage.

We have clearly touched on a sensitive subject here.
Have we scared away the proponents of hybrid garaging?
i also have to come clean and admit I was once guilty of workspace bastardization.

I not only had a tv in my garage, i had a fridge, well really a whole kitchen, and a couch, desk, computer, bookshelves and a bed.
Because I lived in a raw warehouse.

Well, I mean you need the fridge. The first rule of working with tools at home is drink a lot of beer.

He who makes it to retirement with all his fingers WINS!!

Do required fingers have to still fully function?

*Also note provided acceptable garage(!) fillings.
- Toyota 1hdft diesel being rebuilt for swap into a Toyota fzj80 landcruiser (not shown)
- garbage can full of short lengths of METAL
- rack full of METAL and TOOLS

I will also posit that there be a distinction between a workshop (a place dedicated to work) and a garage (a place dedicated to parking)
Admittedly, my above picture was in one of my workshops

I was thinking of getting a TV for my garage. 42 is the biggest I’d probably go. I want something decent because I’ll be watching a lot of tv on it as I hang out with my Tuono. Any recommendations?

We had a TV connected to a PC at my last place. It was great for pulling up diagrams, playing music, researching parts, all kinds of things.

Does your Tuono get lonely? Does it have covid? Or is hanging out a euphemism for wrenching?
I have a radio and valuable parts from 3 motorcycles I no longer own and 69% of a motor for an old race bike I do own, but never thought of a tv. I do like working with the garage open, mostly to keep from getting dizzy.

40" Samsung smartv with dead pixel lines that was ousted from the house. It's a good noise maker for when working on stuff. If I had a junker PC sitting around, I'd probably hook it up to use for garage reference.

The garage is also a hangout, so yeah a TV fits with that. And yep, there's music in the garage too. No Yoga mats though.

I don't have a TV, but I think that it's a cool idea. My garage has no open wall space. I have; (really) old m/c posters from past MotoGP's at Laguna Seca, a full sized Fridge for beer and Gatorade, a nice Sony boom box (that I got for my 30 years of employment gift), 1,000 lbs of weights, a squat rack and two weight benches.

My Mustang and m/c are shoe horned in there- so no room for anything else.
