Can anyone say that this is going to be a full vendor and motorcycle manufactures at the show this year. I don't want to attend to see, the same old shit again.

Davis,
This year, it's definitely going to be "a full vendor and motorcycle manufactures" at the show.

I'm definitely attending, to see some friends. Also the discounts on leather jackets damn I was gonna get that $200 leather jacket with armor.

Stupid question -

You can get tickets at the door, right? I have not been to this show before. Anybody out there got a group ticket or 2 available for purchase? My Wife and I are going.

Every day it doesn't rain for motorcycles? Every day for trikes? If the roads are dry they'll do bike demos, but not if they're wet.

I don't think it has gotten worse in the last hanful of years.
Fewer manufacturers with demo fleets this year--Kawasaki had demo bikes last year, but not this year.

Last year weren't there fewer manufacturers with demo fleets than they year before? I wasn't there the previous year, but I thought there were more. Not sure.

Triumph was huge last year with the new Street Triple/R, plus the brand new Speed Triple R, and Tiger Explorer. They should be pretty big again this year.

Demo rides. Show up early since they tend to get fully booked fast. Don't forget that riding = free parking. Car parking is usually $10. But if you have to cross the bridge, carpooling might be better instead of paying $5 for each bike. :)

I'll be there working at BMW booth on Saturday and Sunday. Stop by and say hi. But the best part is to see the BARF/rider friends all under one roof. :thumbup

I got this coupon code from Progressive. I think it's just a general one that will work multiple times. Drops the price to $11 total.

Coupon Code: PRG3SME

Enjoy!

Got my ticket for 11 bucks. My first moto show and i also got a new camera. A camera that is water, shock, freeze, and dust proof from Fujifilm. Mainly i got it thinking about it the snow and sick and tired about my ipad being my only source of a camera. But anyway, got my ticket from a guy a used to work with who has progressive as his moto insurance. And/or he may have gotten a group discount.

Im so juiced, my first moto show. :D. Will be riding down there if it does not rain.

No more advance tix, but BMWRIDERS and GROUPRIDES would give you -$3 online, which ends up being -$2 because of the $1 online (stupid) fee.

It's nothing to some, but why not? This would save you time from ticket line and go straight in. :)

I'm gonna try for Sat.

No hugs :p just fist bumps :thumbup

:rofl

BUT if work changes and weather is good, I'll come on Friday for hugs and kisses!

Yes, I have noticed what the statistics are showing. the average rider age has increased into the low 40s. The young people are just not into riding, they are all into video games.

Also, the gear people need to be showing up. that's so we can try on stuff and find what fits and then go buy it.

I can go test ride any bike I want with in a 60 minute drive of my house, but some gear is just not available.

So for us old folks with old and changing bodies, and comfort being foremost, gear is important.

I was recently talking with a BARFer about gear and saying that the loose nylon gear is looking more attractive to me over the tight "sexy" leather gear; which is all I've worn over the last 18 years. Basically I always thought I'd crash often and dressed for it, but in actuality I've crashed rarely. So I think I should change my style. :cool
