I had 5 Uncles serve during WWII. My Uncle Bob McEntarfer was killed in the Battle of Leyte Gulf, Philippines. He was injured in the previous battle. He was awarded 2 Purple Hearts and the Silver Star, posthumously. He is buried in a Military Cemetery near Manila RIP Uncle Bob. :salute
