iPhone 5s backup

I was a bad consumer. My phone kept trying to do a backup. But I didn't have enough memory. so after 66 weeks I finally bought some iCloud memory.
Before I crashed last night I plugged in the phone etc & started the backup.
This am it says I have 18 hours time remaining to finish backing up... :wtf

I don't ever see having 18 hours to wait to use the phone... :laughing : |

Are you backing up pictures/videos? They can take a long time on a slow internet connection.
Next time, do a back up onto your computer. Forget the iCloud thing if you only do occasional backups.

Dude, stick with iCloud. The first backup is painful, the rest are cake.
Having nightly auto backups is most excellent.
I broke a phone one day. By that night I was back at the prior night's state.
The problem with manual backups is that we don't do them.
