Couldn't find a BMW team photo yet. Will rectify later in the season.
NOTES:
-While MotoGP silly season was a bust, WSBK silly season really delivered with some new blood in the form of Redding while Toprak, Lowes, Bautista, Haslam, and Laverty all changed bikes or landed factory seats. WSBK now has five two-rider factory teams which is a big change from just three years ago. Private teams like Pucetti Kawasaki (Forés), Barni Ducati (Camier) and Ten Kate Yamaha (Baz) all have podium-capable riders and bikes.
-Bautista has been struggling to adapt the Honda so it will be interesting to see how long it takes him to find his stride this year.
-Gerloff is jumping on to the World stage against a deep field of former MotoGP riders and several BSB champs. Even a top 12 finish will be impressive as he adapts to new tracks, the Pirellis, the travel and the much deeper grid than he's ever raced against.
- World Supersport will race on slicks this year rather than race DOTs (as will SSP300 when the European rounds begin). 16 year old Ollie Bayliss will make his world championship debut as a wild card in the paddock where his dad was the Man for many seasons. Troy Bayliss said the R6 his son is riding will not be full WSS spec but this is a good learning opportunity for his son.
- As noted in the poll, Josh Hayes accepted an invitation to race an R1 in the Australian Superbike series this weekend at Phillip Island.
