Hi Frank, beautiful shots! If you don't mind me asking as I did not see it in the thread. What lens are you using? Again, thanks for the inspirations and the pics definitely bring a smile to the face. In fact, I will be using them to bait my Wife, so that I can bring my balls with me....rofl.

Your trips are epic and I am sure when the youngster that commented about having a set gets older, he will finally understand what his are for... :teeth :thumbup

Hands down some of the most badass pics Ive ever seen. Thanks for the post!:thumbup

Thanks for looking.

Speechless. I just emailed this thread to my mom and dad who never understood exactly why I love riding. This summed it up and even reminded me of why I love it and always will.

Glad you enjoyed.

pictures are amazing :thumbup

Thanks.

So next question, if we are talking dslr camera, you are throttling with right hand, how are you "snapping" pics. Autofocus, ISO, aperature, etc. I can figure out, but did you make some type of frame to allow left hand pictures with a cable remote or wireless? :)

Again, can't say enough about your pics and your travels. I very much am jealous of the size of your jewels though...yeah married guy here :rofl

Dear Frank,

please contact me - we'd like to use your photos as cover-story for our digatal iPad-magazine

I use two piece riding suits made of Gore-Tex. They have the same armor protection as race suits, but breath so I don't get hot or sweat. They are weather proof, so I don't need a rain suit. They are also very warm with the vent zippers closed. In the same suit I can ride comfortable from the low 20's to the 110's and in the pouring rain. Only thing is these suits aren't cheap, but well worth the price when it comes to all day comfort in any weather situation.

Roadcrafter or nah?

Thanks for the kudos!

As for how I take them, could tell you, but then I'll have to kill you. As for jewels, they are proportionately sized to my frame, thank you very much. :laughing

Sorry for the late reply, haven't been on the moto boards much lately. Responded to your pm. :)

Roadcrafter or nah?

Tried a Roadcrafter, was not a fan. I use a two piece Rev-It suit , or a two piece Dainese D-dry suit. They both have full race padding and back protection. Both suits keep me warmer and dry (with vents closed) and cooler (with vents open) than the Roadcrafter could in very cold or hot conditions.

I find these riding suits much more comfortable in all conditions from (20F to 115F), than zipping a Roadcrafter over street clothing. I would only use a zip over street clothing suit for commuting or short rides where I wanted to be in my street cloths.

Very nice picture, let me know the next ride, i would love to go... Love nature

Thanks!

The rides are posted up well in advance. Keep an eye out for long rides in the group rides section on barf, and here on SBR:

Can tell you exactly where it is. Floor of the Valley Road, also known as the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.

Plug this into Google maps: 37.274158,-112.946557

From April through October you can only go down the road in a shuttle bus. I was lucky to catch the right light and get that photo in the beginning of November when the road is open to all traffic.

If there was a road that leads to the pearly gates of moto-heaven, it would look like this.

Frank I signed up just to reply and look at your work, as a former commercial photographer I find it exquisite . Thank you for sharing and continuing to contribute. Love landscapes and a couple of yours come to mind the view at zion and the sunset over the halfdome awesome. Everyone thinks good photography is luck(it's mostly planning and execution) , you'd have to be at those places many times to get the beautiful light for some of those.Kudos to you sir, I'm off to peruse a trip to the skyline.......
