Why we ride.

That time of year again. Spring is almost in the air, new crop of crazies about to take to the hills. Just wanted to share some photos of what motorcycling is about to me and some of my friends. We don't need to hit 170mph on skyline to have fun, or do laps up and down 9.

Our laps tend to be longer, sometimes including a few states, our riding more low key, because we are riding all day and sometimes all week. Things I like about the longer rides is there are fewer crashes, fewer traffic, fewer bad riders and fewer cops. You get to know the people you ride with on long rides, sharing meals and sometimes drinks when the bikes are put away for the night. The beautiful roadside scenery, kick ass roads and destinations is just icing on the cake.

Many people are afraid of group riding, but if you find the right group it can be very rewarding. I'm very lucky to have a great group of buddies to ride with, and hope we can continue the fun for many more years to come.

Here are some of my favorite photos from multiple rides. Photos were taken with three different DSLR cameras. Canon 20D, 5D and 5DII. Hope you all enjoy.
