BYKE's suggestions good, but I have mangled a Works set. I have run these. If your bike runs hot you might think about the ones that don't block the front.
I need to long more miles on it before I can say anything definitively. It seems good so far, though. Unfortunately, I had to drive the car yesterday and today. Tomorrow, I should have time to put a few more miles on it. I want to shake it down thoroughly, as I would much rather have it break down near home than on the Quincy rally in a couple of weeks.
Not enough dirt. The ride to Quincy will be mostly fire roads and such. Nothing challenging. I will likely be riding street all day with Kurt on Saturday, too.
If you ever need a quick fix, come up here and hop on the loaner bike and we'll ride Chalk Bluff!
I mostly buttoned up the lightweight drz project today and was actually able to take it for a quick rip up the road. The pilot circuit is way off because it only runs with the fuel screw all the way in and it wouldn't start with the choke. Still need to add a few street legal bits. I think just a functional brake light, mirror and phony turn signals should be enough to look legit at a glance.
From Paskenta to Covelo, meeting Mr. Bear on the way by Anthony Peak. Lost the ability to use the clutch on Dos Rios Road and went the last 100 miles to Eureka in the fog shifting clutchless and wondering if she was going to crap out.
Met up with my bud, got some mineral oil and back up and running. Apparently it was a bit low and and just sucked some air into the master. Headed up to Coos Bay in the morning with no issues and damn beautiful riding next to the coast. Kept pace with a guy on an old Triumph for the last 100+ passing Harley's and having a great time playing follow the leader.
Damn I love this bike!
