8/23 Update
The SpeedWeek hangover is about gone, and now our agenda has shifted a bit.
We have three main events left in the season, and coming in late has not helped. In the west, we are rock bottom in points. At El Mirage I will be looking to up our dry lake mile record a bit in September.
This weekend is kinda a big deal because we will analyze our data from Bonneville and see if we hurt the motor at all on our final pass. If the motor leaks down without issue, we will ready the bike for El Mirage and the Mile (1.3) pass and top speed gearing changes for that venue. Like Bonneville, no traction at El Mirage either, but we can hook up a bit more. I'm hopeful the passes will be smooth and fast.
So, if the motors tight and right, we move forward. Any issues discovered this weekend, well then back to the bench.
Also more work on the Blown Fuel bike ahead. Final geometry for the tail and some new body ideas I have to pencil out. More on that later.
Some bad news: Looks like we got bumped to #3 in 1650 P-P @ Bonneville. A new record was set on the last day at 205 and change.
Congrats to Jack Broomall on a great pass.
Speaking of motorcycles, I need to get out and ride a few of mine this weekend. I'm missing them and the smile they bring. :ride
