Pat pushing the big 14 around on the Salt. He rocked keeping her together for a week and getting us to the starting line each time.

poor Pat took a lot of unnecessary shit on SBR from teh usual haters.

RANT ON/ Yeah, I know about those tres bolso de vergas on SBR. They just have nothing to do but complain about their own microdicks. Pat's a good man, he worked his ass off and took time away from work without pay to see this through. I trust him with my life on the bike, and he knows that. He was keeping friends and family who had his link on that site "in the know" as I am no longer welcome there. As a few others said, h8rs will be h8rs, and always will. /RANT OFF

Further, (he) stuck by me from April till today and we hope he will finish the year out with us. :thumbup

I'm super proud of his efforts as our 2012 Crew Chief, his talents and doing the math for me, haha (inside team joke since I suck at teh math, Pat kept it real and honest. Including traveling 180 miles at 55MPH on Int.80 doesn't get you there in an hour as I spewed on our radios during the caravan). :laughing

JD, Pat, The Wizard and me in our pit fixing a short that was killing my ignition on our shakedown runs Saturday. We discovered a mildly frayed wire in the tether kill that was grounding out. Some wire strippers, solder, crimp and electrical tape took care of that.

My Niece Felicia was out on College break to be one of the crew and my umbrella girl. She did a great job keeping me cool during the hottest days I have ever experienced at B'Ville. She seemed to get a lot of attention from other crews as well. Go figure.

Our pit area was a shared stall in the San Diego Roadster Club pit row, which hosts some of the fastest cars, streamliners and bikes in all of LSR.

8/23 Update

The SpeedWeek hangover is about gone, and now our agenda has shifted a bit.

We have three main events left in the season, and coming in late has not helped. In the west, we are rock bottom in points. At El Mirage I will be looking to up our dry lake mile record a bit in September.

This weekend is kinda a big deal because we will analyze our data from Bonneville and see if we hurt the motor at all on our final pass. If the motor leaks down without issue, we will ready the bike for El Mirage and the Mile (1.3) pass and top speed gearing changes for that venue. Like Bonneville, no traction at El Mirage either, but we can hook up a bit more. I'm hopeful the passes will be smooth and fast.

So, if the motors tight and right, we move forward. Any issues discovered this weekend, well then back to the bench.

Also more work on the Blown Fuel bike ahead. Final geometry for the tail and some new body ideas I have to pencil out. More on that later.

Some bad news: Looks like we got bumped to #3 in 1650 P-P @ Bonneville. A new record was set on the last day at 205 and change. :(
Congrats to Jack Broomall on a great pass.

Speaking of motorcycles, I need to get out and ride a few of mine this weekend. I'm missing them and the smile they bring. :ride
