So while I have a ton of bud, I've come to realize the stuff I grow just isn't as strong as the commercial stuff. I enjoy smoking it and not getting too blitzed but when I smoke stuff my friends get it's way stronger.

I've cleaned out the tent and prepping it to do a single plant, single light, and see what I can do with one good plant. Also replacing the old 6" carbon filter. Since I'm doing one plant I can use the single pot SCROG setup I have.

What genetics do you run? If you just buy clones from the shop or pop bagseed well...

Trailer trash rarely make it to the Olympics.

Steee-riiike!
I hafta' ask. . . . how does a grower with a bumper crop of the good stuff, and is an introvert (no friends who would be worthy), do long term storage to keep the dreaded mold degradation away?

Apologies, I haven't read the whole thread.

has co2 extraction been discussed? I think it may be a good storage option, and to enhance the product (mix it in with bud?). I was looking for an extraction service but haven't found any yet.

Harvested the first of my two plants yesterday (Girlscout Cookies). Thanks to Byke for guidance during my first grow season.

Next time hang the whole plant if possible. Slows down drying and makes for a better product. Flash dry = bad. Most people ruin all of their hard work at the very end. Drying and curing is SUCH an important part of the process.

I use dry ice extraction for kief or I cook it for 8 hours in the magical butter to make oil. Storage isn't an issue ;)

Hmm, explain please? This is the entire plant, with second plant to follow.

Don't cut the branches off of the stock; hang the entire plant. (Like a christmas tree.) Science experiment time. Many people trim/dry/cure differently, I just happen to be right about it.* :laughing

Kinda like vine ripened tomatoes or bananas....it's always better to leave it attached for as long as possible.

*This doesn't necessarily apply for growers who process their plants into extract, but that's a whole different ballgame entirely.

Jordan, what genetics do you run? Are you still playing with autoflowers? If so, that's another reason as you have ruderalis genes in the plants. Also, many clones that are sold in shops aren't the real McCoy/are F2/3/4 versions of the elite clone-only.

For reference people should be seeking out good breeders such as Bodhi Seeds, Serious Seeds, DJ Short, among others.

Ahh OK, I'll try with the next plant. I had heard it's best not to have any overlap/touching between buds, to minimize mold possibility.

Anybody have any trim they want to get rid of? Specifically in San Jose or around there. I have bubble bags and love making/smoking hash.

Ah jeez I have a bunch to get rid of from last year, but I'm about halfway between Sac and Reno.

Slow Goat

Fun Junkie
So sad

Found my Purple Kush looked perfect and the usual cure went well. But my THC % must be less than 10 and nothing more than bubble hash will be worthwhile....☹️

Going back to my usual seed source next year.

Where did you get the seeds?

Recently Humboldt seed org out of spain was raided(no affiliation to humboldt seed co.), and greybeard was caught faking packaging for ethos. Shame that so many of these companies are sketchy as fuck.
