I'll second that! :thumbup Great time and... and.... I actually made it to Ft Bragg on two wheels this year! :laughing

I had a great time. I didn't get to meet any BARF members, that I know of, because I mostly just tried to keep up with my buddy and his group all weekend.

Oh, man, I got in SO far over my head. I went down eight times on Saturday, picked up my KLR by myself twice, broke off my wind screen in Young's Corral and had to have someone walk out my bike for me, and had to bail Sunday after my first wallow in the mud when I realized I still had to ride home later that day.

Fantastic. Wouldn't change a thing, except maybe replacing my half-bald rear Shinko 705 first.

arletterides, you got a great "can do" attitude for sure. Sorry to hear about all the drops, but glad you're okay. The muddy sections would have been nasty on them Shinko 705's for sure. I've run them and they are a good budget tire, but I prefer knobbies for these rides.

Hope the bike's ok.

Oh, the bike’s fine! It’s a KLR650 with crash bars and a huge skid plate, and I never got going fast enough to do any real damage. It started right up every time. Next time I’ll have more than one day to get ready, and I’ll have knobby tires, barkbusters, some actual skill and with any luck, a much lighter bike. :D

Go Team Red! Four XRs left, four returned under their own power. It is tough to beat an XR for reliability and when setup properly, they perform very well too!

It was five XR's in our camp.
Saltwater XR650L
Sharky XR650L
anytwowilldo XR400R
OaklandF4i XR400R
Cabrito XR400R

Shoot, we might have outnumbered the KTM's.. :teeth
