So, uh … with classic beginner’s luck, I snagged a last-minute Sheetiron ticket. I’m on my own, so I figured I’d throw my camping gear, a borrowed roll sheet holder, some rope and my tool roll onto my KLR, head up to Stonyford tomorrow afternoon and see if some suckers wants to let a relative dirt rookie tag along with them.
Does that sound like a decent plan? I’m willing to wake up early, so at least I have that going for me.

THANK you so much for the offer. Since I posted this morning, my husband (who is registered to ride SI this year) discovered his moto van was broken into. It's driveable but the interior is jacked up and it doesn't lock, etc. He's now carpooling with other Sheetiron riders and the trailer is full.
I now don't have a way to get my bike there. :thumbdown
Skomarmy, It's SO awesome you offered me your registration but I guess I really can't go to ride. I'm reverting back to Plan A which is to drive my mommywagon Prius up to Fort Brag to take in all the sights (and exhaust fumes) and participate that way.
