I enjoy riding my Kymco 250. So quick and easily. I do use lighter protective gear including a half face helmet. You will experience onlookers both laughing and nodding appreciatively at your choice of ride. At stop lights I have been heckled by a pickup of rednecks, and at the light change, left them a half mile back as they scratched their heads wondering how this was possible. For city errands and effortless fun, the scooter is very nice.

For those interested, my neighbour is selling his 2014 Buddy 125 with 1100 miles for $1400. I’ve already low-balled to $1000 and he passed. If you want to see and talk to him, shoot a PM.

Been commuting on my Ninja 250 for the last year or so, and I wish it had a bit better weather protection for the daily grind. Somewhat miserable with the small bodywork in winter (even wearing a Roadcrafter + Heated Jacket) and the wind roar is probably going to compromise my hearing long term. That's unacceptable, so I'm started to hunt down alternatives... like an ST1100.

And then I started to consider the Burgman 650. Reportedly has plenty of power, great weather protection, smooth running at highway speeds, good storage etc etc. CVT failure seems to be an issue at high miles, and doesn't seem to be too serviceable. That's a bit of a downer, but whatever.

Anyone ridden the Burg 650? Comments?
