Check the manual again. My Kymco takes 91 RON which is close to 87 (RON+MON)/2

I checked, was expecting 91 RON but it said 90 octanes.

But now online it says:

"Use unleaded fuel octane rating (R+M)/2 method of between 87&92."

And this:

The engineer at SYM says: "Can you please confirm that "regular" grade gasoline (AKI 87, or RON 91-92) is approved for the HD200?"

And he replied:

"Yes,I do comfirm it."

Once I got used to it I could rail on my Helix. Couldn't match sprotbiles on straightaways, but could definitely overmatch them in the curves. Decent brakes plus a responsive CVT plus good lean clearance.

I miss that ride...

Same deal on Kymcos: Their statement is ALL Kymco scooters run on regular grade gas.

Or pickle juice or cheap vodka or....
I bought my 4th Kymco this summer. A People 200S. The early one with the larger wheels.
One of the better scooter accessories is a rechargeable Jambox or equivalent to Rok strap to the luggage rack and play the most annoying playlist you can dream up as loud as you can in traffic ( well, Fresno traffic which is 15 cars, a tractor and two loud HD's with music blaring from them)
Pull up to the HD's and ride along with them like you are with them.
It's hilarious to watch them try and get away from you.

I'm reminded of when we had a Burgman 400. We went on the last Santa Clara Peace Officers' Memorial Ride. We're staging in downtown San Jose amid 3000 Harleys and other bikes. As we're ready to leave we're idling away, quietly, and there's a guy on an old Harley chopper sitting next to us, trying to get his ride to stay running. Every 30 seconds or so he has to fiddle with the engine, then kick it over again. After several times he leans over to us and asks "You wanna trade?" :rofl

I like your style.

SomaFM recently revealed to me that there are Crazy Frog Christmas songs.

I went on a group ride in Sonoma a few years ago, and this bloke on a scooter was keeping up just fine with the rest of us on sprotbiles. No video, sorry.

Was it an old white metal body two-smoke Vespas? This doesn't sound too familiar.... I usually pick on Harleys.

If the old noggin is right, it was more like a Burgman (sp?). The bloke was an awesome rider, full stop. Went that Pope Valley Angwyn road as smooth as anyone I’ve ever seen.

Speaking of Harleys and Vespas, also a few years back, a young bloke was tip-toeing his Harley around the old puddles and debris on Minna and 4th, and around him, a middle-aged woman on her beat-up Vespa put on a show of total control around the ‘obstacles’. It was funny.

On the Burgman forum it is often asked "Can I keep up with a Harley on my Burgman 400?" Yeah, don't worry about it.

Yeah... the old scoot wouldn't keep up on that hill. It's best on the flatter roads where I can carry my speed in the corners. Like Hwy 1.

On the octane thing, you're not going to buy much fuel for it. Just run 91 and don't worry about it. The extra $10 won't kill you.
