Then brace yourself, cuz I’m just posting up a Friday ride report (kinda heavy on the DR pron) instead of a bunch of beautiful hi res photographs, OK?
Damn, you pro‘s with the nice ‘quipments, you are hard to follow! And your shots really are quite gorgeous...jelly, jelly, jelly!

Friday Ride Report … or how my cluster of a morning turned to pure awesomeness that lasted the whole weekend. He, he, yeah it works out that way sometimes. You get just what you didn’t want and it turns out that’s EXACTLY what you needed. Little Grasshopper here is still learning the life lessons apparently....

East of Topaz Lake the river cut through the stone to carve out this beautiful red rocky canyon, it glowed a bright rusty orange ... smoldering ember-style in the late afternoon sun. The oasis of cottonwoods and tall grasses along the river's course made for a natural shaded rest spot for me and the DR and I killed the last of those BBQ chips...mm-mm-good...yeah I even got those crumbs down in the corners of the bag -- I'm chalking that up to sharpening my survival skills. Nice breeze in that canyon, the sound of water rushing along. Ah, this is good livin' out here! Just at the northern boundary of Bald Mountain Wilderness, NV.

Nikki, I really enJOYed your funny ride report and especially liked this pic. You captured the essence of ADVenture in the ride.

And you've got the spirit, girl, that inspires us. Bike won't start...no prob, grab the DR. Another faithful steed. It was great to see you and others again! :thumbup

Love a-l-l these pics, the beautiful, the seriously scenic, and of course the hilarious, dang those gifs got me just about wetting myself with laughter. Oi vey!

I don’t know where else to put this but the resemblance keeps popping up ... is it just me?

Dmitry was so amped to be out in the dirt that afternoon, his enthusiasm was ‘lectrifying , if not a just a teeny bit twisted. I think we like it that way, it suits him well.

Maybe it was the same crazy high that washed over our crew last year on this very same pile of dirt. We’d been riding up in the passes all day and had just made our gritty way from Bridgeport thru Bodie (yes of course flying with the Hun!) and we just kept going…over the Lucky Boy Pass and eventually as we wrangled our street bikes back down off the last switchbacks off that mountain ... through a rainshower (remember those beautiful rainbows!?) ... it was pure elation when we hit the safety of the pavement again...all of us wore big crazy smiles and smacked each other with big ole high fives all around…damn that first time is just so freakin exciting! Yesssss!

I didn't get to take too many snaps as I was busy keeping up with the likely lads. I have to say the riding was phenomenal...

I heard that too. A barfer got stopped and one of the cops said to the other cop that it is really hard to do 25 all the time through town. The barfer also stated he was pretty certain that the cop was the stunna from last year. :laughing
