I usually spend a week or more per year in the Midwest (where I grew up) and frequently listen to talk radio when I’m there. Rush catered to fear, anger, and bigotry. He manipulated his listeners for profit. It was clear to anyone except the people who wanted to believe him

I particularly enjoyed the bit where he called out Michael J. Fox and said he was exaggerating having fucking Parkinson's, mocking him and pretending to uncontrollably move around like Fox was. Talk about a belly laugh amirite?!
