Petty e-Payment stories among 'friends' and acquaintances

Yeah I'm not going to meet a small group at a restaurant without bringing cash.
One dude in a group I used to meet with would never being cash and would say he'll put the total on his card and collect the cash on the table.
Then screw around for what seemed twice as long as it should take to figure out who paid what and usually conclude the tip was too big. I think he was basically trying to get out of his share by just putting on his card only the amount of cash everyone else paid.
Basically we were all tipping him instead of the waitress. It was always annoying but what can ya do.
We had a foreman on a job, back when I was in college, he always insisted on collecting the money and was always the last out of the restaurant...we asked to go back to the same restaurant in several cases and he always refused, we later found out that he was stiffing the waitresses and using our tip money to pay for his own meal. Total ASSHOLE, he ended up getting fired by the company over it. Shitty people like that exist out there.

My old riding buddy had a friend that would do this^^. It wasn't a flattering story.
My buddy managed to do this, when I visited last summer. We pooled the dinner money, I added the tip, he took the money and paid, $8 left over, he comes out and asked why I overpaid the bill, I told him it was the tip. He got that "I'm a dumbass" look, went back in and tipped the waitress.
