Name a bike that fits these parameters

17/17 or 17/19 tire sizes, or can be somewhat easily converted to 17/17 tire size
Streetfighter or fully upright ergonomics (not sport bike)
Lightweight (sub 400lb WET, preferably closer to 350lb)
Reliable 50-60hp (or more)

The only thing I can think of is the latest 690 duke. Is there anything else?

If it doesn't come like this from the factory, what chassis/motor would you couple in order to achieve it?

Basically anything in the 690/701 family will hit those power/weight numbers. The supermotos will come with the 17/17 setup, the Svartpilen has that odd duck 18" front wheel.

Or one of these:

Or the BMW era Husky Strada 650 which comes in 19/17

Or the even older red head Husky 610 SM (or TE630 with SM conversion)

Meh, looks like SWM made the old Huskies even piggier, I think the Superduals exceed 400lb wet.

MotoRaven is selling a 701 here in classifieds.

Hella legit
On a related note, I'm saving myself for Francis. I mean, I'm saving myself for the KTM parallel twin 490 adventure or supermoto, depending on looks, etc. Due out in the next year or two...

Ninja 400 is 370 (wet).
Upright. You can take off the burrito tortilla if needed.

or go with the Z400 naked version is probably lighter still. Neither of these make the 50+ hp parameter requested. I think they are more like 40-45 hp.

The Husky 450 I just bought meets all of that, by a large margin (a tad over 200lbs, 65hp). A converted FE501 will be a tad heavier, a bit less power, and require a swap to supermoto, but it will have a license plate as well.

He said reliable. So that eliminates all of the husky or bikes that use faulty ktm technology...

A car in space...hmmmm.
Versys 650. I didn't think I would be into them until I rode one. Once I did I bought one the same week. It check all your boxes outside of weight (over by 54lbs....just fill the tank halfway)

Coming off of a big supermoto and riding primarily sport bikes and some dirt it checks all the boxes as far a fun factor and utility. Just enough power to put a grin on your face, comfortable AF for all day riding, and you can throw some bags on it and go for a trip.

I think if you were to look at the 600cc sportbikes from the timeframe of 03-07 you'd probably be able to find something that fits those parameters.

A few of those bikes (03 R6, 07-09 CBR600RR) come in around 400-415 wet. Strip off all the OEM fuckery, aftermarket can, lithium battery, you'd be looking at sub 400lb, 120hp. Anything can be made into a dirtbike-street fighter, if you believe.

From my understanding, you're looking for something super reliable (Japanese). Something that has a fun factor. Something that isn't a KTM. Something that is really light weight, because light is right!

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

He literally listed a KTM in his first post as an acceptable response... :laughing

How about FZ6 / FZ07? Wikipedia says the FZ07 is 74hp, <400lb wet.

Are we having fun yet?
I’ve been thinking what I could replace my ’07 690SM with. I like its light weight (354 lbs w/ a full tank of gas), longish-travel suspension, SM-ish riding position and decent power; only thing bad is the off/on throttle fueling which makes going slow difficult. The closest late-model-year bike I could think of are 690 Duke and FZ/MT-07 (400 lbs wet), but they don’t quite have the suspension and ergos I like about the 690SM for rough pavement fun.
