Happy to see Jack's number plate on the the factory machine, but they're kinda underwhelming looking bikes. They've progressively gotten wider

Duc just stopped painting the widest part of the upper near the bars black, making it seem a lot wider. Shielding the hands from airflow is good for reducing drag. The only recent Ducati that wasn't close to this wide near the bars was the GP18. The winglets are likely the same width across all these recent years - the max allowed by the rules that hasn't changed.

I like that the Duc has the GP bike that looks the least like a SBK. The chunkiest underseat tank, the most winglets, the beefiest swingarm, and the most in your face exhaust :drool

MotoGP Ducati = The Honda Civic of the Grid

Dang thing is more "Riced Out" than anything I've ever seen outside a SEMA show. :teeth

Like this one?

That's the fastest car around Buttonwillow with a 1:37.3. Time Attack cars are legit. That's ~8sec faster than the moto lap record IIRC

Whatever that means

Don't give Ducati ideas, they might try and fit that splitter on their bikes.

We can all finally sleep well at night after so many years. :laughing

excerpt from an interview with Davide Tardozzi from GPOne.com

GPONE: Now so many years have passed, can you finally reveal the mystery of Lorenzo's Map 8 in Sepang? Was it a real mapping or just a message for Jorge?

Tardozzi: Obviously it was a message. As there are no 8 maps on the bike, use a number like this; big had to be a clear message to the pilot. The message for Jorge was not to hinder Dovizioso's comeback, as he was fighting for the title with Marquez. It was basically this. Obviously he had been told before so he knew what it was all about.

However I found this......

GPONE: Now so many years have passed, can you finally reveal the mystery of Lorenzo's Map 8 in Sepang? Was it a real mapping or just a message for Jorge?

Tardozzi: Obviously it was a message. As there are no 8 maps on the bike, use a number like this because it was a marketing ploy to mess with Americans so it had to big a clear message to the Barfers we were dicking with. The message for Jorge was not to hinder Dovizioso's comeback, as he was fighting for the title with Marquez. Jorge was in on this. Obviously he had been told before that if we could get one forum member to change their online name then a million more would be going what the fuck? So he knew what it was all about.
