Pretty sure he was comparing their MotoGP results, not lower tier classes.

Luthi had one year in MotoGP and Abraham eight. That's not a comparison.

Tito had four.

How else do you compare except by results? Luthi has had a stellar career next to Abraham, as has Rabat.

Seriously? Again, Abraham has done nothing in any class. Nothing. He's a mid to back pack racer. Tito and Luthi have won multiple races, stacked up lots of podiums and showed their craft.

Abraham managed to get two podiums in Moto GP and he's a fast guy? That's simply bullshit. He would not even be there today had his dad not supported him all those years. The only reason he had a ride last year was that he was cheap and hired by a low budget team.

So, would Karel still have his spot if ab cardion were still the title sponsor of avintia? We all seem to forget that motogp is a business first and entertainment second.

The whole rich dad thing is impossible to overplay because he never would've been MotoGP had it not been for his daddy's team.

The paddock is full of rich kids who got where they are with their parents money. Wayne Gardner has spent millions to get Remy Gardner this far and, as much as Remy crashes, Wayne is probably still writing a few checks. Jack Miller has many stories about his parents spending six figures every year for several seasons with crappy teams until he got to the right seat. Rabat's championship year in Moto2 was the first time he didn't have to bring money to the MarcVDS team. The list goes on. We like to think of the hard riding kid getting discovered early like Marquez, but he's the exception rather than the rule.

Who gives a shit if Karel has a ride or not? Would you rather Karel on the grid, or President Zarcozy? So it ended badly. Everything ends badly otherwise it wouldn't end. See Vale sacking Jezza via press release.

Only things I really give a shit about are Yamaha hp and how well AM does by Silverstone. Maverick is out no matter what, off to Ducati probably, but maybe Honda. If Yamaha finds some hp Vale will stick around for at least another year with Fabio in the other garage. If they don't, I don't see Vale hanging around. In fact, I don't see Mav or Fabio hanging around either. They'd be lucky to keep one of them. A lot depends on what Alex does too. I think he's gonna drown in the deep end, like every other rookie who gets on the Honda. But I'm biased, and all he really has to do to keep that seat is not completely suck. Just get a couple of top tens and the rest mid teens by contact time and HRC will have to resign him. Where it gets really interesting is if he's just a basket case, can't do shit with that bike. HRC won't give him another year, and Gigi will be offering two factory rides to the Brothers Karamarquez.

Silly season next May/June gonna be lit....

Yes, but Remy, Jack, and Tito have shown themselves to have some serious moves. Karel never had much of anything. He was a journeyman racer, and more power to him, it's hard as fuck to get to that level. He never had the potential to go further. Miller is heads and shoulders above Abraham.

Thats it. Karel was never going to challenge for the MotoGP championship or a spot on a factory team. He's a 15th to 20th place rider in MotoGP and there is nothing wrong with that. Riders like him and Tito are just what Avintia needed. Abraham wasn't using his family money to take a seat away from someone more talented because Avintia can't sell enough sponsorship to operate and pay top level racers. Avintia need riders who can bring money and have a decent pace. Avintia caught a load of shit for putting Christain Ponsson on the grid. Many racers said Ponsson didn't belong on a MotoGP bike and Avintia was forced to break their contract with him. Thats not what happened with Karel. If Zarco had stayed at KTM or signed with Honda, Abraham would still be racing in MotoGP.

Sure, Miler is much faster but he still got where he is due to a lot of family money and its the same for other racers. Some just use family money more than others, doesn't make it right or wrong.

Who said right or wrong? I said that he never would have had a ride without it. Miller and Tito are heads and shoulders above Abraham.

Doesn't matter. The daddy hand for Karel can't be overplayed.

You guys are so cute. Also, being much more knowledgeable and far more experienced than myself gives me ample reason to drop in and learn a thing or three.

Don’t know the answer to your question, but my guess is “More than that.”

Márquez is still the title favorite for next year, until he shows that these shoulder problems affect his racing.

He should be fine. The Champ has overcome quite a bit.

On the Abraham deal.
I see a hand from Daddy as a good thing. A great thing.
So many top racers got their because of passionate fathers. Not all had big bux to help further their kids racing career, but if they did that is not a negative towards the kid. It is props to the Dad for being able to help and willing too in the first place. Good for you Dad dude!!

Bet you guys had some great times. That is what life is about.
