My bike won't start due to an unknown electrical issue. I'd like to get it to Moto guild to work on it, get it solved. I called Steve the moto tow guy, he's out of town. Also left a message with CC rider....

note:
This is not an emergency I'm not stranded, I just need a tow to TI.
Please let me know if anyone has a truck and tie downs.

Thanks a bunch!

Hi Robert. This thread is for emergencies only.
Please make a post in General asking for a BARFer to help you out.
A lot of people are subscribed to this thread, and getting pinged means it's urgent (including myself- and I bailed out of a phone call I needed to take, expecting to have to pull a rescue together).
Thanks for understanding! :)

Second edit at 8:33: Home safe.

Edit: Nevermind. Walking it to my work and will get myself home. Thanks.

My battery is dead. At the intersection of Evans and Napoleon. Bike will need a lift to my house about a mile away.

Or stop by with some tools to undo the brake so I can get home. Right now I'm at Putnam and Geary. Going to try and limp to Safeway on Putnam and oak park

This is likely handled. The gf is coming with my truck. Not sure if I can get it in did to having a shell on the truck and my front brake is pretty solid.

gone for now
Maybe she could stop by an auto parts store and pick up a wrench the right size to remove the front brake. If I wasn't at work in SF I'd be able to offer more than a suggestion.

Discussions are supposed to be in a separate thread.

But since it's here ... all you should have to do is loosen a banjo bolt on the front brake line at one end or the other to relieve the pressure. I wouldn't ride far or fast with that fix, but at least you'll be able to move it.

Contact for Help?

I'm sure it's here somewhere ...?? .. but I've somehow missed it ... but all I see for contact info is to either post here or in "General" or contact Connie via PM. Great!

Problem is ... on my rides I may have Cell coverage but rarely have ability to connect to Internet. So ... if you can't go online, you can't post here and you can't PM Connie.

But often, I can CALL on my cell phone.

How about posting up phone numbers for help?

I'm willing to put my Phone number up for help in Marin area. Maybe a menu that lists Counties around Bay area when you call in? Pick one and it connects you to someone who may be able to help and CC's Connie.

Just a thought ... (I'm sure this has been thought of ....)
