Taze away, Yana...
This whole thing is absolutely heartbreaking. RIP, Glenn. My heart goes out to friends and family.

These are tough times, and it's important to remember that's ok. It sounds like the friends that were there did the best job they could. It's also important to remember to take stock of your mood in times like these, and please reach out if you find yourself in a place that's not healthy.

God's speed, Glenn.

We had a meet in Oakland last night. We raised a toast to Glenn and the two wheel community and the way it brings amazing people into your life. While not all of us got the chance to really know Glenn due to his joining our forum just a few months ago, all of us there recognized a kindred spirit and someone we would have called friend had we been given just a bit more time.

Thinking Glenn will understand that the aspens in Utah are calling to me. I will observe a moment of silence in honor of our loved riding friend Glenn Sunday morning around 10:00 am.
Thank you BARF

Good on you Chris.

I am sure he would just because you posted.
A caring note is just a bit more than a caring thought.
I am sure there have been so many caring thoughts.

So many.

Wow, I just heard of Glenn's accident and passing. I was not at the rally, but instead, home, laying down do to back pain. I have hardly been on the computer these past few weeks. I've read all the comments, and it's a very moving experience. Thank you all that were there at Glenn's side. My heart goes out to you as well as Glenn's family. My heart also goes out to all those that have been involved with the aspects outside of the accident. And I wish Glenn well.

BARF brings together the BEST DARN PEOPLE! We do the most awesome things to help each other out. We have such fun together. And still we face these hugely terrifying events. And the older I get, the more a "get it", life is so much bigger then me, it terrifies me in it's breadth, so I breath, and I trust, that there is something more going on, something I can't comprehend, or something I'm not strong enough to look at. And I keep trying, and keep looking.

Peace

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend Glenn's memorial as I'll be working. My thoughts are with Glenn and all those who left us too early. And with their loved ones. :rose

Posted this on fb but wanted to share here as well:
It was a really nice turn out of riders for the funeral of Glenn, who passed last week on the way to Hawthorne. His family was so gracious and thankful we came to represent what Glenn had hoped would become his community. His parents said Glenn watched barf for 3-4 months before taking the step to go to an event. Even as a toddler Glenn suffered from fear of rejection, taking a couple hours to gather the courage to join the other kids in the sand box, only to find once he was ready the other kids were packing up. His mom said joining barf was the first time Glenn ever took the initiative to join a group on his own and she takes comfort in the fact that his self confidence was high enough for him to take that momentous step. His parents could be angry at motorcycles or blame the forum for Glenn's passing but they are the exact opposite, warm and sincere. The words spoke about Glenn today make me regret I never got to know him because he sounds just like my type of snarky. Glenn was only 24 and will never get the chance to live the long life he should have had. I guess what I'm trying to say is, make sure the people you love know how much you love them. That your friends know how much they mean to you. And when you see a new face at a group gathering reach out of your comfort zone and make an effort to welcome them into the fold. That is what I am going to do at future meets and rallies to honor his memory. RIP Glenn :rose

I have a picture of the group from today that I'll have to upload in a bit from a computer.

Really nicely said young lady.

Amazing experience. I mentioned I felt like it was a twilight zone episode looking in on someone's life. A cool life. A life that felt a bit of a challenge to be included. Several of us chatted that as motorcyclist we all were individuals and perhaps that is part of the reason we gravitated to this endevor. It certainly gives us a solid reasons to talk. To share. To become friends.

Glenn was one of us. I love that we share a unique life vibe.

We are special. IMO.
