Mama Espinosa's in Baja

Ummm. Lobster burritos. I had some in a cooler coming north once. Stopped after crossing the border and put them on the engine of my truck, they were nice and warm by the time I got to Long Bitch. Thanks to John Muir and "The How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive" book. He has a recipe for engine chicken in the back of the book.

Home Plate on Lombard is where I go for breakfast in Frisco. Haven't been to the new location yet. They're still serving Thanksgiving Coffee from Fort Bragg, very tasty.

I'll vouch for copper skillet in Martinez. . It gets super busy though, so expect to wait for a table.

I went to The Copper Skillet with my daughter yesterday.
Thanks for the tip, the place was awesome.
The 15 minute wait for a table was painless and less than they said it would be.
Service and food was awesome.
My Philly cheese steak omelette was da-bomb.
We will be back. :thumbup
Martinez is a cool town, btw.....lots of history. (..and the birthplace of the Martini, iirc)

Don't have a place, but have been wanting to visit Jax At The Tracks in Truckee. Maybe AI can comment, but it looks like a neat spot.

You order plastic cheese on your food?? I kinda like it too, but I hate myself when I eat it.

Jax changed owners a couple of years ago and has been going downhill IMO.

I should have been more specific and said that applied to diners. For me diners are about breakfast and I usually ship it or have something light. Times when I meet people for breakfast they want to go to something like Dennys, IHop, or Mels. Those places are artery cloggers where I never go on my own and they have menus with pictures, if I'm remembering correctly.

If its not fried food it doesn't apply. I've also been to Asian restaurants where photos helped with ordering.

Oh, at first I thought we were being a snot but then I realized, you're just being a snot. :twofinger

O hell yeah. We used to ride there a couple times a month. We drive now, but it's still worth it.

Oakland has Homeroom, and some local great breakfast places, but Copper Skillet is a one off. I love that place.

I like my diners to have unidentifiable meat served under soggy toast and no vegetables on the menu other than taters. And a pube in the coffee.
