Push rod. It's about right. The RR is another story.

Too bad speeds tv coverage is NOt what the AMA website says it is. We're fucked.

I think you're reading it wrong. The schedule on this page shows the actual times the races take place and who is showing the race but not necessarily the broadcast times. All are broadcast, one way or another, tape delayed either on SPEED or live on SPEED2 streaming.

Here is the broadcast schedule:

XR1200 and Supersport Race 1 today live on SPEED2

AMA Superbike Race 1
Friday, March 15: 6:00pm Eastern/3:00pm Pacific
SPEED channel - tape delay

Supersport Race 2 Saturday live on SPEED2

Daytona 200 Daytona SportBike
Sunday, March 17 1:30pm Eastern/10:30am Pacific
SPEED channel - - tape delay by full day :nchantr
(for some damn reason the 200 is always called "Daytona Bike Week" on the guide so your DVR will skip it if you just have it record all moto-racing. You'll likely have to set the 200 to record manually)

AMA Superbike Race 2
Sunday, March 17: 9:00pm Eastern/6:00pm Pacific
SPEED channel - - tape delay

AMA Pro Supersport and AMA Pro XR1200
Highlights during other broadcasts (likely as part of the Superbike races)

Bonus:
AMA Pro Flat Track from Daytona
Sunday March 17 6:00pm Eastern /3:00pm Pacific
SPEED channel

All explained in this press release: http://amaproracing.com/rr/news/index.cfm?cid=55580

On a brake
Anybody know if the live streaming events on Speed2 can be viewed later 'on demand'?

I contacted them with this question and have not heard back.

Not as fast as I look.
Rooting for Tigert to take that win!
Strange to see him on a Yamaha.
All the times that he couldn't get a ride, just boggles my mind. There are guys that he races that always get rides, and he can spank them with one boot strapped to his tank.

There are several nice people racing this weekend. I will be out of breath with the rooting, I tell ya' what. I am pulling for the Sadowski kids, too. Their dad is another guy that I like.

GOOOOOO California peeps!

session red flagged and ended because of oil on the track w/ 7min left on the clock. pretty shitty for everyone that was planning on pushing for 1 or 2 hot laps at the end. only 1 guy didnt make the cut.

Cam 1.5sec ahead of Gerloff in 2nd.

SPEED2 is the suck. They cut the feed while doing the post race interviews in the Harley race. Then they missed the start of the 600 race and it had to reload once for a few seconds and the picture quality on a big screen TV is fair at best. I am disappoint.

SPeedsuck was happily showing Nascrap practice during the race...:twofinger

Hayes had an incident

Hayes says that since the gearing is so tall they have to ride the clutch out. Per Hayes, it sounds like Martin might have got a better start then Hayes so he had to ride it out farther then he wanted. He said he wanted to lead from the start and it kinda cost him this race.

Everyone says he should move up to WSBK but... not sure if I follow that thought. I really feel this will be a mixed up year with a few highs and lows for everyone.

just looking at the timing it must have been a pretty good fight for the lead, .1 second gap

yeah Martin tried a few passes in the horseshoe but got held off

Herrin got an amazing drive off the final turn and held it out

are we allowed spoilers in this thread? I would say YES!

Anyone know why Cory and Dustin DNS?

wow - I was gonna call Ronnie but I figured he's in a pretty sour mood. I'll wait a few days to let him breathe.

wow, too bad Cardenas couldn't keep the front down. That killed his drive to the finish.

Congrats to Herrin for holding on.

Can't imagine driving all the way to Daytona, only bringing 2 built motors for each of your riders, then sitting around when they both blow up. A couple thoughts come to mind if that is the case:

1. If you are one of the riders, boy are you pissed! Nothing worse than watching the guys you want to kick the snot out of riding when you should be out there.

2. The engine builder has one hell of an ego. Wow, you brought only your super sweet fast motors and they all blew. Good job. :applause

3. The team owner/manager or whatever should be fired, for not bringing a couple stock motors, so that the entire effort isn't a complete waste. If it's their money, expensive lesson.

$0.02

And FWIW, I have no clue on the details, which I am sure there are more of. Not trying to shit talk, but those are the facts as I've heard them on an internet forum. And based on that, I would be so pissed if I was any of those guys!

Everyone I know that has run Daytona has said you're better off taking $5000 and burning it, than going out there and making the effort. The track offers no benefit unless you are in serious contention for a national title in one of the classes. Not sure why all these guys did it. If they wanted to just do it for the experience, I think that's valid as I would have liked to do it at least once myself. Oh well.

Gonna be a rough drive home for those guys..
